This is the Last Transformers G1 Don't Worry Fan's It Transformers the Headmaster released on DVD by Shout! Factory. I Think so Toei Animation and Takara decided to continue Japanese Transformers in Japan and in 1987 the Japanese Series Transformers: The Headmasters in 1987 in Japan Only, but the Can't see the Show Outside Japan. Sadly No Transformers Series Because it cancel the Cartoon. Before Came Beast Wars in 1995.

The Movie was the best part by far. Great animation and voice work, gripping story and fleshed out characters unlike 3rd season. Whitch developed Rodimus a bit before Optimus was back and after, what? 20 or so episodes?
I think I understand now why people love G1 s1&2 characters so much. they were developed greatly and had distinctive look and personality and most importantly: Soul.
My favorite character is and alway will be Optimus Prime for the virtues I learned from him.

The best season in my opion was the 1st and 2nd ones, the 3rd one was most of the time either lame or boring. There were a few good episodes though and most of them at the end. Especialy the lat one! 4th season wam MEH. I always said that in Headmasters Transformers where threted like Gundams.
i must say G1 was truly the best of all the eras of the transformers, nothing since has ever lived up to the greatness and in my opinion it's because in G1 shit happened whether or not it's scientifically feasable. although series 3 did have a few naff episodes i do believe that it was a fine follow up to the movie. Whew, finally finished G1. My final conclusion, it had it's ups and downs, but overall it was a fun ride. I think however the seiries could have ended just fine with The Return of Optimus Prime, where Galvatron and Prime shook hands, our heroes remained heroes, and Unicron is still dead. O_o Overall, I give G1 8/10. Thank you so much for posting, TommyJ666the2nd.
As Galvatron would say- NGAH! THIS SHOW HAD SO MUCH PROMISE! You could've alternated between the Nebulans fighting the hive, and the Autobots defending Cybertron, Zarak would scheme against Galvatron, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL! But the closest thing we got to a sequal was that which shall not be named.

Also, love Spike as Cerebros' head. Frankly, love Spike as an adult. Him being a teenager must have been really annoying for the autobots-- always needing to be saved and all. BTW, Fort Max versus Scorponok should have been done better.
@jiggyjazzman Trust me it was done lot crappier in the Japanese version called Transformer: Headmasters. None of the autobots turn into Headmasters and the storyline drags on too long.
I just thought of something...why doesnt Optimus Prime get some upgrade while Megatron and Bumblebee do? The whole "old, regular Optimus vs. NEW IMPROVED Galvatron" thing seems so boring...even though its just 4 episodes left...

Subsequent season 4 episodes to *this* one would have coincided with the 3rd Action Force season

Shouldn't Cybertron's close proximity to Earth cause the planet to tear Earth apart, as it did in "The Ultimate Doom"? The Sun is somehow still intact despite all the abuse hurled into it (Plasma Energy Chamber, Solar Needle, et cetera).
Daniel is wearing his exo-suit inside Arcee's head at one scene. Gort and Arcana are drawn as Brainstorm and Highbrow at one point. Bumblebee shows up in the Golden Cybertron, right next to Goldbug. In Nebulos, the Headmaster partners are as tall as Optimus. In the final scene in Scorponok, Lord Zarak is nearly as tall as Galvatron. Everyone gets their colour pallettes switched around one time or another, especially the Nebulans. The Targetmaster partners have similar problems.
Well, I will also miss this G1. And Jazz was killed by Megatron in the first Transformers live-action film. But wait, Temari still carry that symmetrical alignment. We'll just hope that nothin like Doomsday would cross her Insecticon path.

You know I gotta sort of laugh at the last piece of dialogue from Optimus Prime when he said that Cerebros would live in peace as nebulos's guardian. Because if he has to guard it that means if anyone attacked it he would have to FIGHT, the thing he HATES to do.

Was great to watch all these episodes. I watched some TF when I was a kid but since i was a child i didn't know how to keep up with it. Beast wars and Armada reintroduced me into the franchise. I'm going to catch up on both..especially on Armada regardless of the haters:)

As a kid, I was happy to see Bumblebee there, as I liked him as he was and was not enthusiastic about his change to "Goldbug". One could invent a story to explain it, I.E. not Bumblebee, but his double, was damaged and rebuilt as Goldbug. I just noticed something: in this clip, while Bumblebee is cheering, Goldbug appears to be to the right of him!
@TheTOONhunter Galvatron's sanity only ever occurred in his first appearance 'the movie' (aired after seasons 1 and 2 and before season 3) when he was voiced by his original actor Leonard Nimoy; after he lost the fight inside Unicron to Hot Rod who became Rodimus Prime, he got thrown into lava and, because of the length he spent in the lava, his voice changed back to Frank Welker and he became insane.
His insanity was cured at the end of part 2 of 'The Return of Optimus Prime'

This show is more than an 80s fad. I was born in the 90s and never even knew aout transformers until the mid 2000s, and having watched a handful, yes a handful, of eps of this, I can say its a really great series, and I like to think I know a thing or 2 about quality animated shows

Shouldn't Cybertron's close proximity to Earth cause the planet to tear Earth apart, as it did in "The Ultimate Doom"? The Sun is somehow still intact despite all the abuse hurled into it (Plasma Energy Chamber, Solar Needle, et cetera).

Daniel is wearing his exo-suit inside Arcee's head at one scene. Gort and Arcana are drawn as Brainstorm and Highbrow at one point. Bumblebee shows up in the Golden Cybertron, right next to Goldbug. In Nebulos, the Headmaster partners are as tall as Optimus. In the final scene in Scorponok, Lord Zarak is nearly as tall as Galvatron. Everyone gets their colour pallettes switched around one time or another, especially the Nebulans. The Targetmaster partners have similar problems.

@kennyscott11 Bumblebee cheering at the end was an animation error, the same as it was never impossible for Megatron and Galvatron to co-exist.

i liked season's 3 and 4 but i think 1 and 2 were better because there wern't so many different planets, just earth and cybertron plus optimus and starcream were still alive and it was megatron not galvatron
but i liked season 3 alot sometimes

@OrihimeToshiro99 Even if there *were* more episodes after *this* one (in the *States*), Starscream would *still* be *just a memory* since Galvatron blasted him *again* near the end of the season 3 episode 'Ghost in the Machine'.

You know I gotta sort of laugh at the last piece of dialogue from Optimus Prime when he said that Cerebros would live in peace as nebulos's guardian. Because if he has to guard it that means if anyone attacked it he would have to FIGHT, the thing he HATES to do.

I guess Japan thought 'The Rebirth' wasnt enough. Thats why they decided to make it painflly longer starting with 'The Headmaster'.
Also, no 'Golden Age' for 'The Headmasters'. The Deceps blow up Cybertron insted.

Was great to watch all these episodes. I watched some TF when I was a kid but since i was a child i didn't know how to keep up with it. Beast wars and Armada reintroduced me into the franchise. I'm going to catch up on both..especially on Armada regardless of the haters:)

realbustylatinas, it is probably an animator's mistake - or an inside joke? As a kid, I was happy to see Bumblebee there, as I liked him as he was and was not enthusiastic about his change to "Goldbug". One could invent a story to explain it, I.E. not Bumblebee, but his double, was damaged and rebuilt as Goldbug. I just noticed something: in this clip, while Bumblebee is cheering, Goldbug appears to be to the right of him!

@TheTOONhunter Galvatron's sanity only ever occurred in his first appearance 'the movie' (aired after seasons 1 and 2 and before season 3) when he was voiced by his original actor Leonard Nimoy; after he lost the fight inside Unicron to Hot Rod who became Rodimus Prime, he got thrown into lava and, because of the length he spent in the lava, his voice changed back to Frank Welker and he became insane.
His insanity was cured at the end of part 2 of 'The Return of Optimus Prime'

This show is more than an 80s fad. I was born in the 90s and never even knew aout transformers until the mid 2000s, and having watched a handful, yes a handful, of eps of this, I can say its a really great series, and I like to think I know a thing or 2 about quality animated shows

No next ep thsi was the last ep. More are in japanese but they didnt do heasd masters. After prime for reborn he died again along with ultra magus. Sound wave and blaster died too but they were rebuilt

@ChimeraAbridged Too *bad* this was the last episode and there's 'no next' (or no *continuation*); we would have seen Astro-Vipers, Techno-Vipers, Hydro-Vipers, Toxo-Vipers, Road Pig, Cobra Raptor, Voltar, Croc Master and Muskrat as new Action Force characters after the Action Force movie (we possibly could still have seen Buzzer, Ripper, Torch and Monkeywrench had the Action Force cartoon series continued after the movie)

*Had* he *existed*, I *still* say he'd be my *only* favourite *Autobot* (though just as *well*, since people actually find the *Decepticons* more popular even though they're the *villains*).

You seem insensitive about *Optimus* Prime's death from the movie which is why he was only seen prominently in the first two seasons and absent from season 3 until the show's closure in the States; if you've watched part 2 of 'The Return of Optimus Prime', you'll see *Rodimus* didn't like having him *back*!
