I used to love this game. I still got the c64 had it back in 1989 when I was 9. It has sat in the loft for about 18 years and still works. I have got hundreds of games. Wow this takes me back.
Granted, I'll give you that it was more colourful, but the scrolling was jerky and there was no sound. Besides, the C64 graphics are colourful enough.
Blimey, how come I didn't ever get hold of this or play it? I still own C64's & still don't have this, didn't realise it was so good, still looks really great, & the sound fx are stunning. I've played the original & I always found that a bit frustrating & never got too far with it, but I want to give this a go now :-D It actually puts me in mind of Melon Dezign's 'Naughty Ones' on the Amiga (another great platformer) although this came a lot sooner obviously. Great stuff. Off to play it now :-D
Did'nt play it back then but bought a bunch of commodore stuff some year ago (just because :) There was about 120 original games, and this was one of them. Gotta try it now "PRESS PLAY ON TAPE" ;)
I used to have this. It was tough as nails. The sort of frustrating, trail-and-error based gameplay they don't make anymore...

Actually I take that back about the sound. Sorry! :S

Haha, C64, always arguing about the sound...

Not really much to argue about though really, is there?

Sure, that's why the Rick Dangerous sprite is way more detailed on the C64....

I got quite far in this game back in the day, but got stuck in one later level with impossible lasers.
