No Muslim should inherently hate a Hindu as a person/individual just because they are Hindus, but we are to despise their practises. Tauheed (or Oneness of God) is the base of Islam - anything contrary to that is dispicable in our eyes.

@jollykap No I do not hate you. Even if you did do those things (i.e. idol worship) I would not hate you as a person. Nor does Islam require me to hate you as a person. But I would abhor your acts. Any Muslim would abhor polytheistic acts that are contrary to our belief in the Oneness of God.

As to your question: not everyone who does not follow Islam is a sinner, yes indeed, and also, not everyone who follows Islam is a good person. Bad seeds are in every society.
