Damn I wish there were even 1 tiny patch of powder like this in WA State...here, my dad and I snicker at people who call "powder" what he and I call "Cascade cement".
Dylan, I skied that day because the roads were closed, OMG best pow day ever. Thanks for capturing the magic. This day will make me smile forever!! LInda's run, Morning glory trees and Bear Chutes-WOW
Dylan... you dog!! I'm experiencing some serious envy right now!! This is the best face shot video I've ever seen. I putting it up on my powderwatch site immediately.
@2007TypeR Haha I would think there's a snowmobile that his ski pole is attached to. There is no way you can keep a ski pole that steady. Plus you notice the fixed position of the ski pole and him skiing around it.
@Imi366 Look at 0:23 and freeze fame, he throws his pole in the air.
The reason why the pole is fixed position is because the camera is STRAPPED to the pole. So the pole will always be in the same position in the shot. That is why he appears to move around the pole.
@some1rational Pretty much. You don't even have to hold your arm out. It's hard to tell, but he is actually moving is hand forward and back, just like he would be if reaching for his pole plant normally. People think it takes a lot of concentration, but it is pretty easy. I've got a video from that perspective on the same day, but nowhere near as well done as Dylan's here.
@time654 I'm wanting to hit up Revy so bad this year. "Winter" here in Fernie was nonexistent until a week and a half ago, but La Nina is finally back!
@papham It's not letting me post the link, but search for "Kootenay Influence Ep. 5" on Vimeo. Or just search for Dylan Siggers. He has a lot of good videos.

why only one pole?

@Renneskid It's obvious that his camera is strapped to the end of one pole. That is why he is skiing with one pole for some of the movie.

@Imi366 how stupid are you.. judging from your comment, you have no sense of self position in a 3-dimension area..
Go to school.. smh..
