  • I like the part where we never get to see your FreeBSD running.

  • КГ/АМ

  • Spectacular video :D

  • @itsbrad212 thx :)

  • love the paint I may paint my pfsense router that color someday...

  • lol enjoy your power bills

  • @telesniper2 I used to have one of those machines, the PSU was about 100 watts max.

  • @MorkaGraven yeah, in other words 10x a normal router

  • @telesniper2 Hmm, my router is bigger again. It's just a huge server with DHCP properties attached to a switch. Of course, it has all the other benefits like NAT, firewall, DNS and general storage space so I can't really complain.

  • massive improvment well done and btw i never give out good comments

  • Thx! :)

  • @johnjackass461 thx :)

  • one of the nicer mods ive seen. like the colour :)

  • Thanks! :)

  • Great fw! This proves that u can revive old computers put them to work again with *nixes! What's the name of the music? great video!

  • It's Antiloop - Start Rockin'

And thx for the comment :)

  • Look good mate. xD I'll do the same to my old computer if you dont mind xDD

  • Thx :)

    And no problem :P

  • the cool way to use a old hardware, and give it a great work!

  • Kills the vxWorks based Linksys routers that freak out when they have "too many" connections.

  • I did the same with an old NetScout Fast Ethernet Probe. I didn't spraypaint it, but using old systems for new tasks sure can be fun.

Of course, I overkilled mine by adding:

    2x Digital 4-Port 21143 PCI Cards

    Allied Telesyn AT-2560FX PCI Card

    Ralink 802.11g PCI Card

    D-Link DGE-500T PCI Card

    3Com 3C509B ISA Card

    Quantum 6.8Gb IDE Hard Drive

    384MB Memory

...and an old ISA Video Card. :)

  • Sounds nice :)

  • Nice I love seeing old hardware being put to good use.

  • whats thats, LED's, spreaypaint, an overdone video editing with an obnoxious song? who would've thought. I mean, its alright, but you could communicate that with two photos

  • seriously, i second that

  • wow umm not soo exciting i mean come on a a 6 yo could spray paint somthing

  • but it takes a real dickhead to make a negative comment like yours

  • Orange is good for atleast a 10% performance bump.

  • A nicely done job is the only reason I didn't give you one star, but really a waste of a video. Would have been more useful if it were a webpage.

  • any idea if this runs hotter (uses more power) then say a router priced at $90-$120? Good colour choice.

  • It'll certainly use more power, 200watt PSU, instead of a 20watt transformer, but you get so much more bang for your buck.

We used to have a Belkin POS in our house of 9 people. It crashed all the time when torrenting, had a useless interface and virtually no features. That all changed when we put in a IPCop distro PC in, not had any network outages, so many configurable options, and the case we got was so pretty.

  • Thx :)

  • so nice case

PLEASE TAKE A LOOK MY VIDEOS PLEASE SPECIALY CRIS TY A LOT

  • how did you add the LEDs for the new NICs

  • I removed the original LEDs and soldered on the one I now use on bit of wire and put them in the front..

  • pimp my pc

  • This wasn't the original IBM PC, but whatever. Nice work with the colors and lights. Though if I was you, I would clean the computer up and keep it as a PC since I'm a big collector.

  • "though if i was you, i would clean the comuter up and keep it as a PC since -IM- a big colector"

    your him, not yourself... lol

  • its still gay

  • I love this video, i'll spray my freebsd router too :) It looks so nice :))

  • Thanks :)
