I'm sure this is a scripted question on Lawler's part, but I thought I had read somewhere that Lawler thought that the feud had been milked dry by now and he felt that Kaufman was in this way too deep by this

point and was somewhat concerned about his well being.

A month later Andy was diagnosed with cancer, you can instantly tell how bad he looks. Such a shame and how great he could have become. Am I the only one who thinks Andy should be in the WWE Hall of Fame?

Andy Kaufman was in character just like he was in a lot of other shows. Ever see him on The Dating Game? He was hilarious!

You're right. Andy does look bad. He was with his family at Thanksgiving later that week & he was coughing and he didn't look good. His family persuaded him to get checked out. Around December 10 he got the news that he had cancer. By May 1984 he was gone. He was one of the best wrestling heels in the business.

Kaufman: "Lawler, don't be a wise guy, okay". That was fucking funny as hell. And, you can tell that almost broke character there. He & Lawler were about to bust up laughing.
