@MOZZWIGAN if you are trying to find the same quality like the cdj 2000
you wont find them in that price range
maybe you can get probably like a cdj 1000 used for 700 for both but is going to be hard to find
around that price range maybe a pair of cdj 200 or if you want to go towards denon..you could probably find a denon dn 1200 around the range or DN-HS5500
ok so i got into dj'ing but i dont know what a good purchases is for me since im new. i dont want to buy ne thing like the cdj 2000 YET. can some1 help me out on a affordable purchase for mixing music?
yea im happy with virtual dj and a simple deck, not some holy crap trigonometrical holy jesus dj thing that you probably won't use 1/2 the features unless your good as people like skrillex,deadmau5, etc...
What's really sad about Pioneer 2000 & 900 is their display screens are awful. Case in point look at how great a Nikon, Canon or the simple Fujifilm cameras. I'd hope to think their going to address this in future CDJ's and lower the price. Wonder how those 850's are selling? And yet look at their displays, a bad joke.
in the world that I see, every club will have a pair of computers set up with traktor.
in front of either monitor is a kontrol s4.
all a dj needs to bring is a usb stick for his tracks and mappings.
dj transitions are made simple by the fact that there are two set ups.
afterwards djs will climb up the wrist thick vines growing up a massive pile of broken cdj 2000s and look down to see the ppl in the club laying vension on an abandoned dance floor.
@miamiwax man no it's not that hard, the only thing you need is a bit of music sense ...and money. Believe me, after a month or two you'll be able to mix pretty good if you train. Advantage of this many buttons on these players is also that it doesn't get boring so quickly as i.e. basic numark players. I've got NDX400 and im9 gear from numark and after a half year I'm bored that it's so simple. So it's more about money than some serious difficulty nowadays... cheers
I think they are sweet. I happily paid 3400 for two of them. To this point I have heard nothing but praise about the units - everyone I know personally who has one has said they are worth every penny. But I think that Pioneer is loosing a lot of respect for raising the price even more to 1900 each.
@1nnovate Why does Numark suck....their quality has gone up soo much in the past 5 yrs... and needle search isn't anything new? Yes it is...first to be incorporated on digital players...
@1nnovate Ya...I get that you won't see NDX's or a NS7 in the club, but these players are damn good pieces of equipment. Numark is coming up or = to Pioneer in quality
I whant see the metal bottons because in the past CDJ´s they only have metal finish but they are made from plastic, but realy is no relevant why metal bottons only make the product more expensive whit out any reason
Uh, I guess the objective of DJmag is to provide information on the absolute "best" gear there is on the market, and if Pioneer just happens to be the leaders of the market, and it does provide high quality CDJs and mixers, there's no real reason to not show their next product. Also, even if it is expensive, it's just for people who can shell out this much. One could say a BMW is too expensive for what it does, like, you could just but a $6000 clunker that can do no less. But yeah, maybe.
@richiebno1 but since it's brand new it will eventually come down in price and the point is that it's better than anything else so its harldy going to be cheaper.

@Persianbmw94 You won't go into a club and see someone using NDX's or an NS7. Pioneer is industry standard, and it's not there for no reason.

Fucking boo dj mag, why not just rename yourselves pioneer dj mag, might aswell you even put pioneer staff on your judging panel for awards.
This product is too expensive for what it does, end of story.
