  • Great job Mr. Raymond...

    i like it...

  • gunung nona wah bahaya tuh..

jgn sampe ke gunung kembar yah om...

    wkwkwkwk

jadi inget waktu TK nyanyi lagu beginian terus...

" meski suka, tinggal suka, mama panggil "BETA" pulangeeee..

Saya dari suku Jawayang lama menetap di Sumatra, daan sedari SD saya biasa menyanyikan kedua bait ini...

note : Bagi teman yang belum tau; memang "Ada" Gunung nona di Ambon.

    googling aja..

    Nice voice Raymond!

  • Thanks for that information.

  • request song from south borneo:

    AMPAR-AMPAR PISANG

  • Thanks. I may try it sometime.

  • even you seems old already, but you have a nice voice sir.

  • yup.. that song is other version.. the song that you're singing is old version..

  • That's because I'm an old singer. : -)

  • "naik naik ke gunung nona" this words make children/people laugh because it mean you climb to someone breast hehehe btw nice vid

  • So I've heard - but this is how I learnt it from a young Indonesian lady many years ago.

  • nanti nyanyikan aku lagu tik tik rintik huan,ya.

  • hey, mr. raymond, you're a natural good singer! but, i really appreciate you for sing a lot of indonesian songs....

but, "rasa sayange" is from MALUKU, INDONESIA. not MALAYSIA....

  • Imho, this song is Ambon origin and then adapted to Bahasa Indonesia version, same happened to other Ambonese song such as Buka Pintu, Bulan Pake Payong etc. I was born in Ambon and in my childhood this version is all I hear there, and yes, there is a gunung named Nona in Ambon. By the way Thanks Raymond :)

  • Thanks for your contribution.

  • do u know what does it means??

u were deceived by the guy

it must be "naik-naik ke puncak gunung"

not "naik-naik ke gunung nona" which are a nasty word meant that you climb someone's breast.

    cuz nona means a women

    haha :D

  • There are no right or wrong words in folk music. I learned this from a young lady who learned it as a child in her home town, Malang. Maybe that's how they sing it there! She would not be interested in "deceiving" me.

  • waakakak naik-naik kegunung nona....!

but overall ..this guy is awesome.....

  • :D ha ha...

  • wonderful...

    very nice... :)

  • ha..ha..ha..enak aja..naikin gunungnya nona...

  • You're welcome. I've always liked this song since I learnt it from an Indonesian friend many years ago.

  • Terima kasih.

  • u sing good.

  • this song reminds me dancing on the stage when i was in KG

    thanks

  • hehe the words r different

how long have u been in indonesia?

well done!!! at least i can understand all the words ur saying but this is not the real song :)

by the way where r u from?

  • It may not be the real song, but it's the way I learnt it from an Indonesian friend forty years ago!

  • your friend right, that's the original lyric for this song. This song originally came from Maluku/Ambon, and some people made the children rhyme version and use the same tune but different words.

    "Naik-naik kepuncak gunung, tinggi-tinggi sekali 2x.

Kiri kanan kulihat saja , banyak pohon cemara 2x"

  • this is the real words.

naik - naik ke puncak gunung, tinggi - tingggi sekali. 2X

kiri kanan kulihat saja, banyak pohon cemara. 2X

  • See the message from "selamattinggalmasa." This confirms that my version is also correct. I learnt it forty years ago from a friend who came from Malang. It is normal for folk songs to change over time, so there are really no right or wrong versions.

  • Haha very good!

I´m indonesian and i cant sing that all! lolz :P

  • wow thatz nice.... hiks hiks ^_^

you can join our "indonesian" band :))

  • Hi Ray ... you know gunung NONA is a kind of rated R. Nona means lady. But it doesn't matter, I like it that version ... just don't sing it in front of kids okay :)

  • I guess that's why people laugh when I sing this song.

  • wow,fantastic!!!5 stars

  • verry good man

  • naik naik ke puncak gunung

    tinggi tinggi sekali

    kiri kanan kulihat awan

    banyak pohon cemara 2x

  • you're right raymond. about this song, it has 2 versions of lyrics. the first lyrics supposed to be more popular to children. and the version (that you sing) is the romantic version of the song, is more popular for the teenager during 1980s era in Indonesia.

  • It must have been popular before that because I learnt it from an Indonesian friend in the late 1960's!

  • hey everyone, check out 'FOLKLOR INDONESIA' made by James Dananjaya, you can see unique facts about this song (actually the lyrics inside)... both the original or the contoversial one...

during 1980's era, indonesian colleages and students changed the lyrics of this song to be unappropiate :

    NAIK-NAIK KE GUNUNG NONA

    SUSU-SUSU MELULU

it means : walk over the woman's mountain,

    breast-breast-and breast again

  • very well sung... interesting variation... never heard of it ever in my life :-)

  • best2!! very nice..... awesome!

  • wow .. awesome Bro! i'm indonesian

  • Beautiful song Raymond, as you well know, music is a universal language. No barriers or borders, cultural or linguistic, it's to be enjoyed by all, and brother I truly enjoyed this song! Thanks my friend.

  • Such a pretty song Raymond :) I don't know what you are singing in the song, perhaps you could post the translation sometime. But it does sound like a happy song, am I right in thinking that?

At any rate... wonderful performance once again Raymond. :)

  • It's a children's song. I think it's something about climbing a mountain, but this is not the usual words, as I mentioned in the introduction. Malay speakers think my version is funny, but I haven't yet worked out why!

  • Kiri kanan kulihat saja banyak banyak koruptor....

    kotor!!!!! T_T

  • a old blind man said once he can not speak Spanish yet i listen to them sing on the radio..i just love the way it sounds....i don't know what you was saying but it had a great sound....could i do a request in the pines or o death i know that o death is a very old song redone many times..... i do not know much history on in the pines except several artist has sung this song
