The lack of a seat height adjustment has been a complaint since day 1 when the Fit debuted in 2007. Unfortunately, it seems Honda engineers didn't get the memo to add a seat height adjuster... Too bad. I would have chosen this over the Matrix.

It is a safe car you can check that out yourself. The Cobalt is a terrible drive, I rented it and took it on a 4hr drive, plus the mileage was disappointing ( I was on 75mph in texas that means cars are whizzing by me). The cheapness of it was what got to me and it was clear after driving it that this car has a very short life span, honda's survive with resale ok

The company was built around quality.

Malibu is not better than Accord. Talk to us in 100k miles and give the report on how well it does compared to other Accords of the same year with the same miles. Prior model Malibus were garbage and the new model is likely to return similar results. I am not a big fan of Accord, butno way would I remotely consider Malibu
I loved my 2009 Honda Fit. It was amazing in cargo space. went camping twice with it and fit everything and still had room for 4. I miss it traded it for my 09 WRX. got a great deal on a new WRX for 21,000 back in March. never regretted buying the fit regret trading it in.
why would you lose all that money and get out of a perfectly fab car that would travel 300k miles and still be on the road 20 years from now? What I don't understand is why does this get such bad gas mileage as a hybrid? Toyota Yaris and Honda Civic (LX or EX) get better EPA estimates than this with a hybrid battery. Kind of defeats the purpose, as drilling and mining for the material to make these batteries is quite toxic. So....it's a decent looking car but it seems kind of pointless.

If you're looking for a subcompact, this is the best money can buy. Despite the belief that Honda Jazz is priced above the other competitors, it is not all true. You can get a SX4 or Yaris with the same price tag, but this is car is superior except for SX4's AWD.
The suspension is quite low, providing better handling and ride quality; the ride is not 'bouncy'. Some will like it, some won't.
Hondas are well priced. The engines last forever and they have the interior quality of cars priced much much higher. Compare the fit or Jazz to the toyota yaris - its VERY obvious that the Jazz is a class above.

It is a safe car you can check that out yourself. The Cobalt is a terrible drive, I rented it and took it on a 4hr drive, plus the mileage was disappointing ( I was on 75mph in texas that means cars are whizzing by me). The cheapness of it was what got to me and it was clear after driving it that this car has a very short life span, honda's survive with resale ok

The company was built around quality.

I loved my 2009 Honda Fit. It was amazing in cargo space. went camping twice with it and fit everything and still had room for 4. I miss it traded it for my 09 WRX. got a great deal on a new WRX for 21,000 back in March. never regretted buying the fit regret trading it in.

What I don't understand is why does this get such bad gas mileage as a hybrid? Toyota Yaris and Honda Civic (LX or EX) get better EPA estimates than this with a hybrid battery. Kind of defeats the purpose, as drilling and mining for the material to make these batteries is quite toxic. So....it's a decent looking car but it seems kind of pointless.

Ok, here are my comments on this car.
If you're looking for a subcompact, this is the best money can buy. Despite the belief that Honda Jazz is priced above the other competitors, it is not all true. You can get a SX4 or Yaris with the same price tag, but this is car is superior except for SX4's AWD.
The suspension is quite low, providing better handling and ride quality; the ride is not 'bouncy'. Some will like it, some won't.

It has lots and lots of room. People over 6' can fit easily and comfortably. The compartment is HUGE, bigger than some compact/midsize SUVs.
Interior quality is one of the best (in this class), only outclassed by M-Benz B-Class.
However, the engine is underpowered IMO. Acceleration is decent, but not enough. HP is sufficient, though.
Overall, this is the best bang-for-the-buck in this class.
If you want a better subcompact, then try M-Benz B-Class. However, B-Class is overpriced IMO.

Hondas are well priced. The engines last forever and they have the interior quality of cars priced much much higher. Compare the fit or Jazz to the toyota yaris - its VERY obvious that the Jazz is a class above.

@ToyMaster83 If you think the engines last forever, you take with a person I know who has had 2 engines rebuilt with only 54,000m total on the vehicle, nothing but overpriced crap.

Rear drum brakes on a car this size and weight is fine. Disc brakes are just more convenient when it's time to change the pads.

A lot of sub-20K cars have rear drum breaks. My Impreza has drum breaks. I agree, it sucks.

It's an '08 with just over 15k miles. The brakes will be upgraded before they need to be replaced.

The Asian/European version of the Honda Fit (aka Honda Jazz) comes with disc brakes standard.. The American version is a bit disappointing :/

The Americans think themselves to be very practical, but they are rather lazy and clumsy. Usually, they don´t know much about their car, that is the reason why they don´t mind the manual AC(easier to use for them) and the rear drum brakes? they don´t care..some lady who buys the car to go shopping with..The Europeans are more stubborn,they want everything to be state of art. MyfriendsfromUS don´t evenknowhowtochangeoil, whatfilteris, howengineworks,what is the consumption of their car etc.

You guys have the honda 'fit' in the US.. They called it the 'Jazz' in Oceanic countries - I'm from australia. I have just bought a Jazz and will be picking it up next tuesday. It is the MY09 build like the one in this video..but mine has front seat height adjustment - does yours??
What colour did you get yours in? I got the metallic cerulean blue. It is gorgeous.

We've got the same color lol.
I've been using the Fit Sport 09 for about 3 months now.
So far, so good. CVT trans is greatly improved.
Back seats fold completely flat, cargo space is ridiculously abundant.
It even has more cubic volume of space than the Civic lol.
Definitely the bang-for-the-buck in this class.
