@Taz123tz I was doing this same tutorial on 2.5 and found that you no longer need to bake, blender does it automatically; and when you create a plane mesh it only has 4 vertices on the corners of the plane, making the cube just pass through it. I was able to fix it by subdividing the mesh to have more vertices and apparently that did the trick.
Does Blender upload my work to the network to make it work? O.o because when I done everything and ready to animate it takes a lot of time like it says 45 minutes why is that?
OMFG i have been looking everywhere for this tutorial and all of those brainless monkeys are talking bullshit. but YOUR tutorial, omg is amazing, clear, and very high quality stuff so i know what to do :) good job and keep up the good work! oh and what screen camera thingy are you using?
Sorry for the late reply I have been busy the past few days. It sits there because this tutorial doesn't show how to use blenders real time soft body physics. You have to bake it first. So go to the blender physics panel and select soft body and then where it says collision select that tab. And you should see the option to bake. Now go on ahead and bake it and don't forget to enable self collision. Once the bake is done you should be able to hit ALT + A and see the animation played back to you.
Sure no problem. Ok so select your plane. Then click the object button and or hit F7. Then click the physics button. It's a sub menu to the object panel. Then you should see a tab that says Collision. Just check it and your cube should stop falling through the plane. If you have anymore questions please letme know. Also I am glad you liked it I haven't had time to work anymore. But there will be more coming on the way.
Oh yea somethings were changed. Partially why i made this tutorial. I noticed there were others but they were somewhat outdated using 2.45. Alot of stuff has changed in Blender since then. Anyhow glad you like it. I am currently editing another tutorial I just finished. So check back sometime later on tonight for the new one.
I have 2.6 and the only tutorials I can find are in another language

raven67854 2 years ago
Nope I didn't, thanks! The only problem was that I hadn't upgraded from Blender 2.46 so the settings were different, but I fixed that.
