It's sad to see that Michaels mother can't respect Michaels wish.. It was obviously very important to him that his children didn't got this kind of attention... They are just not any kids..! The consequences can be really bad.. Michael was a clever man and he knew what was the best for his children and he never denied that one part was to avoid puplic attention.
