No matter what you do (in this universe, anyway) you'll never get more out, than you put in...actually lucky if you could break even....no-one has even done that yet... ...So...All ahead, warp factor 7.5...."Engage"....and poof...it's gone...don't forget to activate the inertial dampeners...no fun being pressed againt the tri-tanium bulkheads at 48,660 G's...
Great job on this replication! I love your persistence and dedication to innovation. It's important to approach this as scientists and not as dogmatists for either side.
Do you have any info on core material or magnet strength? The magnets appear to be 1/2"x1/4" N42s?
Blah blah blah, are you getting more energy than what you put in??? Then close the loop and make it run for ever.. Ahemm.. But I think you will be surprised.
These guys just dont seem to understand running some output power to the input. Claims are it will only charge a battery but you would just have to have a relay swap input & output batteries. You tap excess energy at that point. Steorn is running the ultimate scam on this. I wonder how much money he can collect before the suckers realize his scam?
Well if the UN gets its way they will get a Carbon Credit money to work on impossible technology. Them and hundreds of others. Why would you license something that actually worked? Why not build the technology & sell it first? I think that he actually believes someone out there will get it to work since he cannot.
Texmurphy51, according to Steorn's website, one SKDB-license costs €419/year. From their registration-numbering, I think they have about 5'000 registrants. That's about €2m. And the good news is, nobody will ever go to police and bring a charge against McCarthy, since a sort of brain-washing takes place in order you can purchase a 'license'. This way, McCarthy can come forward with the excuse, it were a spiritual belief. So I wouldn't hesitate the term the guy as a genius rip-off scammer.
And there is nothing illegal to what he is doing because these people are buying the license to develop the product. This is why people like Bedini sell Kits. If you sell an experimental kit your not responsible if the kit builder cant get it to work. I have watched the Steorn videos & they put on a good show and BS
@Texmurphy51 ...I'm new on this youtube and free energy stuff...I see the bedini site...yes, he sells an 'experimental' kit... I'd be more impressed if he showed the Current flow on the 2 batteries...voltage means little without current flow, which I feel is why he's insisting on the lead-acid battery, voltage stays, until discharge is well down...he may be charging the 2nd battery...but the donor battery will die sooner.. Does this guy ever stop yakking...?.
superjaykramer, like in exo-ufoism, scientology and other spiritual belief-systems, not the result is the important thing in the perpetua-mobile business, but the pure belief, enthusiasm and the stupidity to deny the laws of thermodynamics, but to waste a lot of money and hundreds, if not thousends of work-hours in fully understood setups. In case of the orboistic religion, we have a relucatance motor, extended by magical properties; wrapped in impressive technobabble by McCarthy.
@debrainwasher If you were a true representative of science you'd study what was in the claim and try to understand it, instead of this counter-brainwashing you like to troll. There should be no attachment to the "laws of thermodynamics", a true scientist studies what she observes without dogma.
freeorbo, obviously YOU are the trolling guy, who has absolutly no idea, how science really works. Really new stuff deserves to be investigated. However Maxwell laws and laws of thermodynamics belong to the best validated laws in physics. Nothing is unknown there. McCarthy simply deceives and fools his audience with a abandonned concept (poor efficiency), well known as reluctance motor. In this point, I agree: Without. education, you have to look into EVERY single pile of crap.
@freeorbo Ok then great; so when you observed really nothing at all, that should have led you to the conclusion that it was bullshit. Instead, you'll cling to the absurd belief that Steorn have some sort of free energy machine. You're a mindless twit.
@FREEGARYMCKINNON I agree. My proof (laws of thermodynamics - particularly 1LTD and 2LTD - and Maxwell's laws) are very, very weak against your claims of overunity. I'd suggest, you applied immediatly for the next Nobel prize in physics.
Additionally, I recommended to ask a politician to overturn the COP=Pout/Pin law and legislate a new law for efficiency.
@debrainwasher is that sarcasm? not sure . ha. obviously over unity will never exist only free energy from the unified field. ha its not an overunified field is it after all ! unity - free energy.
@FREEGARYMCKINNON Information about mindset is provided on my profile. 'Unified field'? Did you consume a sick-making overdose of SciFi-TV-shows? No such think exists yet in the SM (Phyical Standard Model) or in a MDQT (Multidim. quantum theory). The idea of 'Free Energy' is based on a misconception of uneducated conspiracy nuts. Even really free energy (e.g. solar energy) isn't free. To harvest it, you need to invest money into e.g. an array of PV-panels, maintain batteries, etc..
Looks promising. The real challenge will be getting enough power out of the pickup coils to more than break even and charge the power supply for the motor. (earplugs may be necessary. :-) ) So far we have seen a lot of people making steorn-like motors but no one on you-tube has closed the loop and made a self recharging system. I wish you success.
Like this. Yes. Am I being a terrible *ss when I ask what all the fuss is about on this sort of engine/system? I see a lot of "failed" devices on YT. Which I do not get... this is the way to go, I thought of it within a short time and I am no techie in this department. It just is logical. It needs to be. There are other ways, but this is imho the way to go. What did orbo do differently then other similar systems? I would like to know that in the simplest of terms... Is that a reasonable Q? :-$

Very good Idea.
Can I ask what type of material the Toroids are made of ?
Also I have found that 2 plates of wood etc mounted on allthread, makes it easy to adjust the hight of the toroids relative to the magnets.
How is testing going?

Very Well done mschuckel.
Looking forward to see your tests with the pickup coils.
Many thanks.

I'm interested to see your final result once your machine is finally built.

@Texmurphy51 It is the ultimate scam, because within 10 years they're going to be collecting a licensing fee on everything that uses energy.

Texmurphy51, I think indeed, the license business model is set up to evade legal problems.

@dougspair sez"I'd be more impressed ...Current flow on the 2 batteries"
Some of these people fool themself by using standard meters deigned for 60hz, sine wave to measure complex wave current. They are not accurate.
The whole idea is idiotic. Why not simply tap the output current, run it to the input, then the device will run itself.
If you had a REAL free energy device, would u put it on youtube or patent & sell it?
Think about it

Overunity has been replicated by several youtubers so you need more evidence than an opinion. your opinin isnt worth much without proof.
