Of course, with Chains of Olympus they begint to piece the story together so it actually makes sense and then they go and fuck up the storyline again with Ghost Of Sparta. Kratos did not know who his father was at the end of God Of War 2, but found out after his fight with Zeus. But in this one Kratos' mother apparently tells him who his father is. Also why was his brother not in Hades? in God Of War 3 there is a letter you pick up from Deimos in Hades.
