  • My God. The Soloist was flat.

  • i liked it may i ask how can you listen to music and at the same time be so specific about faults in the choir at set times as for the ufo stuff it makes me think

  • look up Morgan State University's rendition. this was a lil boring... good harmony though.

  • THE WHEEL WAS AN SO CALLED UFO!! CHARIOT OF THE MOST HIGH!! AND HIS SON, AND THE ANGELS

  • dude this isn't a regular chorus song, u can sang it a little more expressively.

  • soloist makes me want to take a nap

  • CHARIOT OF FIRE, and HORSES OF FIRE, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. Ezekiel 1:19 "And when the living creatures went, the WHEELS went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the WHEELS were lifted up.".Daniel 10:6 His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning, his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.jesus is god

  • I actually find it hilarious because choirs all across the country are singing about alien space craft and they don't even realize it. Clearly Ezekiel saw a UFO. Its the only CLEAR passage in the Holy BIble which describes an object identical to modern day UFOs. Ezekiel describes glowing, metal wheels in the sky with "creature" that have the face of man inside them. He says the wheels move back and forth like flashes of lightening.

  • 1:24 "jah" sopranos were flat. 1:28-1:33 tenors were flat. Not enough bass 1:35-end of song and the choir starts going flat at 1:56. Sopranos sharp last chord. 2/5 stars

  • we're signing this in 7th grade choir lol

  • @1KatyPerryFan What school do you go to?

  • Correction: Ezikiel Saw the ET! lol

  • @TheJaredtube Yeah, I feel you. I saw some stuff too. Theres some other passages too. Like Numbers 10:34 and Acts 1:9. The ancients might have seen UFO's and might have only had the word cloud to describe them. They could have been cloud ships or possibly a ship that looks like a pillar that surrounds its self with a gas cloud. Me and friends once saw a star ship that was able to make its aura field very visible to even them, who didn't usually see auras. It had a strong force field.

  • @tontotings: thanx. I finally found one...haha

  • @tontotings: aaah I see him. I found one so far....haha. Thnx

  • It's good but this is a "Negro Spiritual"...where are the Negroes? Lol

  • @jmcnmam1 If you look closely enough you will find 1 lol

  • beautiful

  • nice triceps!

  • :0)

  • They're good. That's a big choir!!

  • It's a little fast

  • please tell somebody about the rainbow Golden throne of GOD. Thanks..\

    friend Andrew

  • y is it that in every version ive watched i cant hear the descant... :( its my favourite part lol

  • damn, our choir sang it so much better. we got to work with THE stephen hatfield today and sang this song for an audience, but in a much different - better - arrangement. it was so much more clear and dictated, not to mention a hella lot more uplifting.

    BMHS CHOIR OWNS!

  • and you are where???

  • Much like how you are uplifting now?

  • Um..We're singing this song for our Chamber Choir for this Fall. I could barely hear the Alto 1s and Soprano 2s. Perhaps this is a much faster tempo and different because it involves boys..Only girls in our Chamber this year.. ;)

  • Good sound, but way too fast in my opinion.

  • They don't seem too happy to sing this song. It's a very difficult song btw.

  • Lame

  • you guys are so bad. i did this song atblue lake fine arts camp and we were so much better. we only had 11 days to practice too.

  • are the girls wearing a curtain

  • In 1993 the altos started, then the sapranos joined with the upper harmony, then the tennors came in with counter-part, then basses.

  • We and I sang this back in high school 1993. That was great.

  • where'd u guys get ur dresses?

  • my choir did better

  • lol

  • well they did

  • solo sucks so much

  • yea

they just said it no singing.lol

  • This is a wonderful song, but you're right dum samdum the tenors were a bit shaky at the begining. Towards the end is when i started feeling it the rest was kind of dry.

  • hahl,, im singing this in chior. ugh,.lol

  • do u like this song?

i'm doing this in music class not choir though

  • the beginning is horrible. the tenors should fix that.

  • Rather a prophet informing us of the the power and glory of God testifying through the whirlwind, His symbol of destruction, woe, scattering and restoration, trying to warn some that God is real His cup of wrath being full.

  • i dont kno...maybe it was the acoustics, but i wwas feelin this rendition...lacked energy and some parts sounded wrong....not tryna hate, but it wasnt a great performance...

  • I agree totally with you kenndogg.....i was disappointed

  • a prophet informing us of extra terrestrials

  • Well done... pretty fast and because of that pretty difficult. But it seems that there is a part missing, IIRC there should be a short interlude between the tenor solo... But still nice

  • whatever he saw, it was NOT something illogical like spiritual being.

  • puppetmaster, you have no proof of that. were you there when the guy wrote the song? more importantly, were you there when ezekiel saw the wheel? i didnt think so!

  • you going 2 hell i hope you burn

  • what an Odd Title. Ezekiel's "wheel" when you read it in the Old Testament sounds like he's describing something he doesn't understand. My theory on what he saw is one of 3. First he saw an Alien humanoid or something technological, (our god's soldiers). He was eating Mushrooms (magic), he was seeing a traveler from the Future.

  • haha...i was thinkin he might be hallucinating. it kind of sounds like a DMT trip that ezekial describes. no disrespect to my creator or the bible.

  • Delightful! Very rich sound!

  • actually, it is the way that the acoustics are supposed to be, so sorry to bust ur bubble. also, if they pronounced the words "right" it would sound HORRIBLE! the sopranos are dead on, and they all sound AMAZING!

  • this sounds funky... maybe its the sound system.. but its all echoey and they dont even pronounce the words right!! :/

  • that sound bad!sopranos are off!! no energy!

  • I thought the hat was a very good performance of a song that is not easy to do.I have not heard this song since I was in my high school choir.I graduated in 1968.Thanks for the memories.L.vinson

  • We recently performed this song in my high school's chours. I didn't sing it because it was done by the advanced group (Choral Ensamble) I thought it was an awesome song.

  • wow, awful

  • They're in high school...is it the best, no, but it's not the worst thing ever in life...keep up the work kids. Persue that which you love.

  • i heard n been on high school choir that will learn that song in one day and blow it away

  • ...your point?

  • I cant believe yall messed up this Moses Hogan peice, there was no emotion, lyrical and musical skill n the soloist walk up and sang the dag on solo like he was forced to n the last thing on his mind is singing in tune lmao...yall need work

  • This isn't even a Moses Hogan arrangement; it's definitely by William Dawson. Before you criticize others, please know what you're talking about so you can come correct (excuse my slang). I'm sure they tried their best.

  • lol...I was thinking the same thing.

  • oh well excuse me for thinking of one director n saying another n plz excuse ya slang becuz last time i checked my opinion is my opinion and whether i put the wrong director or not...it will stay the same...if they need work, they need work thas the bottom line. I clicked on this video to actually learn from it becuase my collegiate choir was learning it and i expected this video to actually have some benefit considering it was posted up her in their favor but that unfortunately wasnt the case

  • Is it Dawsom? I was getting shades of a Hatfield arrangement, but I could be wrong.

  • oh GOD no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP, PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!! Awful performance of one of my favorite songs

  • THEY GOT SO FLAT!!!!!!!

  • ouchhh, that just hurt my soul. sorry to say, it was awful.

  • Good, but it was the wrong song to do in a Basilica. The solo was awful. the guys were flat the entire time. Ending was awful because of echo. wrong place otherwise, from what i could tell it sounded good.

  • I felt as if the song was spoken rather than sang.

  • absolutely a mess!! at some parts its rushed, and sopranos are just horrible.

  • this is disgusting

    soprano's are a mess

there is no life in this...

  • Could the sopranos have been more flat on the last chord?

  • This was on an Italy tour, this was exactly the way that we were instructed to sing it. The Italians listening probably didn't understand the words, so it would've been quite ridiculous for this piece to have had movement and excitement as was indicated in some comments.

  • Too stiff (It's a negro spiritual)

  • My high School Choir did that song at a competition and we won first prize. We sounded way better than them. They were just standing there you are supposed to tell them a story interact with the audiance. It's a Negro Spiritual. I'm in the Eastmoor Academy Choir and we are a black school so we take pride in Negro Spirituals. We are way better than them!!!

  • ok singing comments, how good were the recording gear? Interesting tune, considering if YOU have even read Ezekiel. Totaly wierd book, which we are currently studying in our sunday school. But still E was a man of the LORD! PRAY! btw Good job kids.

  • Y0U GUYS FUCKED UP THE H0LE D00M-A-L00M-A PART WHiCH RUiNED THW WH0LE S0NG!

  • Nice voices for high school but....check out Morgan State choir for how a spiritual should sound...THAT is an outstanding performance.

  • aw I did that song in my pride choir!

  • what a sweet voice on the soloist..

    O_O!

  • sing along guys..........jesus wants me for a rainbow

  • You guys pronounced ezekiel wrong. its not e-ze-kal

    its e-zi-ki-al

  • The composer calls for it to be pronounced 'E-ze-kal' in the score.

  • yes but if you are singing it the way the composer wanted than you say it ezekal not ezikial.... gosh how old are you and you must not know much about music and vowels and consenants...

  • Thats the way our instructor told us to sing it.

  • Thats the way our instructor told us to sing it. Maybe we have a different version. Think about what you say before you try and offend people.

  • not trying to offend anyone but maybe your instructor needs to do a little more research on the peice it is a negro spiritual and it was pronounced Ezekel and H.T. Burleigh did this and no one else... like I said educate yourself before you speak.

  • Actually you never said that.

  • in DarthVader36's defense, my high school is doing it now, and the song is called 'ezekial saw the wheel', and the pronunciation is written as e-zee-kee-ahl.

  • what version is this? Surely it is not The William Dawson peice or some arranger screwed it up. Because in the origional it states *pronounce EZEKUL when singing it is even wrote E-ze-kul saw de wheel. so If you are doing a different piece I think that's sad because this is supposed to be a negro spiritual and Pieces like these is what made the college choirs in the 40's a smash... and it was because it was sang like the slaves in the fields which way do you think the slaves pronounced it?

  • Ok...umm..My high school choir did this song last year and, no offense, but our was much better. For one, you guys sang the song way too slow. Two, the solo was absolutely horrid. The only inch of saving grace for this song was the sopranos did pretty good. 1 star =/

  • The harmony was awful (like my spelling....). I remember singing this song in my high school choir, as a tenor. It was a different version but still... some of guys were off. The solo OMG!! so monotone doesn't really give a good impression of the intire choir if HE was the best they could choose. The girls were pretty good though, when they came in, it was like "Wow". I saw another version on here which was simply AMAZING!!

  • Cathedrals and Basilicas suck for singing spirituals... trust me I know. The soloist was awful! The S2's are flat at the ostinato section and the S1's are flat on the last chord. It amazes me how good choirs never step foot overseas but all of these mediocre and bad choirs get to travel all over the world.

    Sad!!!!

  • this version is not all that great.. solo tenor could have been refrained

  • Ezekeil saw a spaceship that descended and a angel man came out of it.

  • Uh. The solo at about 42 seconds should have been soulfull. When I hear it, I always think about a black slave woman like Harriet Tubman warning some of my ancestors(other slaves)that they better be on the look out for Satan and his wrath. Loosin' up a bit and let the music move you; show some soul! soloist.

  • the soloist is not very convincing. He's not scaring me into going into heaven instead of hell.

  • i the last chord i could on hear the first tenors on that high G for maybe an eighth note at the end. my choir just sang this song yesterday in the issma state final ocmpetition.

  • You from Avon? Not only did I see you there, I posted it on YouTube :) Check out my videos!

  • the fact that the room's acoustics are hella strong doesnt help the sound, but i think it sounded good...the soloist needs a little work, though...

  • and the tenor soloist is no good, I'm a bass and I could sing with more power than that

  • you guys sound good but you have to heard the word wheel longer, its supposed to be sustained, that word because it is the subject of the song

  • We have to sing this whole musical as our school musical. im a doctor =]

  • My middle school choir sang something kind of like this, it was a different arrangement I'm sure since we only had 3 guys back then.

  • In the middle of the "dooma-looma/wheel; wheel/wheel in a" section you went flat for a couple of pages, and by pages I mean like 4 measures each, because there are so many parts to this song.

Hey, I'm from Easton, PA. If you're around the area, we have quite the reputation for kicking butt. Your video was good; most high school choirs can't even pull it off at all.

  • I'm inpressed. The speed, just a little fast. Overall, very fine.

  • What is up with the tenor soloist? He has NO feeling. He is supposed to be talking about avoiding SATAN!! Tenor section needs way more power. generally needs more feeling. Good job blending though. I sang this for an honor choir a year ago. It is a great song. Very VERY difficult too pull off.

  • eh it was ok butt there wasent enough hype to it

  • GREAT song!! Dawson really made this his own (which is hard when the likes of Hogan has arranged it before him). The soloist was a little less precise than he probably should have been, but overall a good performance of a ROUGH song (I've done it, it's NUTS to look at on paper)

  • wow, you all are very good

my school's chorus is learning the song

    very nice :-)

  • Glenr,

Wow! I am just blown away by your performance of "Ezekial Saw the Wheel." It's a beautiful song, and the dynamics and tone that you used portrayed it very well. I'm so impressed that you guys are just a high-school choir! Wow! Did you're choral director oprah-trained you?? Goodness! :-)

  • vision:1. the act or power of sensing with the eyes; sight. 2.something seen or otherwise perceived during such an experience: The vision revealed its message. 3.something seen; an object of sight

These are all definitions to the word vision. You can find them in your dictionary, if you have one. Go ahead and give me counter point definitions, that''s when I will ask you if you wrote the Bible.

Your favorite retard to whom you don't have the time to explain.

    nearearth.

  • you do realize these kids are singing about a ufo account seen by of course ezekial....
