Robotech was an okay series. But, i must say, The Best thing about Robotech, is that introduced so many people to Macross.. and the fact that THAT is one of it's key points.. I dunno it's not SAD at all but, still to me points that old saying Original is Usually Better.

I grew up watching Robotech. I had always hated Minmei, I'm more of a Miriya fan. But watching the series as an adult made me appreciate Minmei more. She's a tragic character because she sings about being in love but she never ends up getting the one she loves because it was too little too late for her. So it makes this song very ironic.

Luckily I've been able to hear Mari Iijima (original MinMay voice actress, and fine musician) in concert numerous times. The english dubbing of the character and the english songs are ridiculous compared to the original.

I hate how this series made Minmay an unlikable brat that was shunned by a lot of fans.And she can't sing.In the real version she was extremely likable down to earth and could sing. It was easy to feel for her in SDF Macross and Do You Remember Love. In Robotech they made her WAY too easy to hate.

He did not tolerate the fact that a FEMALE character with her singing endend a costly war not MALE characters with their piloting skills.
