Excellent posting, but you are really wrong about the dating. Flagstad made her Metropolitan Opera debut on February 2, 1953 and shortly thereafter Edwin McArthur became her accompanist. I believe their earliest recordings together are from 1937, so your dating of 29-31 is incorrect since Flagstad had never set her foot in the US by that time.
