  • Thats pretty loud actually! I heard the reduced the knocking... Guess its just rumors.

  • @2CoolF0rSch00l I think the camera really amplifies it since the microphone is pointed right at the engine. My father-in-law ended up buying one and it's easily as quiet as VW's 2.0T gas engine.

  • @azbioguy Well might be might be... but still sounds pretty damn loud.

  • @azbioguy I accidently put gasoline in mine and drove it. It never was the same.

  • I love the sound of diesel in the morning

  • @flyguyviky me too :)

  • damn if that's your car you are a luck luck man. but i am fine with my big green tracker- we can go slow or make it go faster...

  • i have te same engine, the same look but i dont what a type is( COMMON RAIL) ???? whrere i can find this?

  • Common rail means there is 1 rail or (fuel line) the feeds fuel to all the injectors instead of having 1 fuel line for every injector

  • did u get one of the demo units with the green tree stickers? it looks like the same color as the demo cars

i cant wait till mine comes in!

  • same here :)

  • I test drove one the other day. I couldn't hear the motor standing next to it! Just incredible power from it as well. Running around Las Cruces NM got me about 38 mpg, so I expect about 47 on the highway.

  • Theres a 10k mile break in period to so yo should expect about 50mpg on the highway after that according to the tdi forums.

  • Having driven diesel motors for the last 20 years, I've found that diesels have a break-in period of about 50,000 miles. It takes that long for the rings to seat properly. Once they do, your milage increases and the motor acts like it 'wakes' up, giving you more power and quicker response times. Now, it could be that the VW diesel being so small that it only takes 10,000 miles to break itself in. If so, so much the better.
