  • bjork still looks like a kid herself. but she still fits the role. this is really nice. a friend of mine told me about this

  • bjork has the temperament of a little girl. there's an innocence; an innocence to her curiosity and honesty. it's very refreshing and addictive. i could easily fall in love bjork.

  • aww at 0:58 bjork looked so helpless, like a little puppy when the boy was rude to her :{

  • That jerk in the movie theater is yelling at cute bjork...

  • @SourStrawberrys yeah lets get him... interestingly enough the pronouncing of Bjork rhymes with jerk as in ' byerk ' ...so many people get it wrong and think her name rhymes with york as in 'Byork' ..why does that anger me so?

  • My God! Bjork is so talented and beautiful beyond belief! How can you not love her?

  • this movie is breeaking my heart!!! i love bjork so much!!!!

  • in my opinion...bjork wasn't even acting, she's just naturally this quirky. :)

  • @gofightlose People say that she was feeling rather than acting, but it's impossible to become a character like this without either of those characteristics. Bjork is absolutely nothing like Selma, perhaps besides the quirkiness.

  • It is such a beautiful movie it breaks your heart.

She is so naive we all start out that way actually and boy do we learn!

  • She is such a pretty girl.

    Still is actually.

She has the Wood Snake look.

    The Scorpio look too.

  • I want to live with Bjork!

    <3 wow this is incredible!!!!

    She sounds British...

That kid is very lucky to have worked with Bjork.... <3

    O.O MONEY!

    Ahh..Bjork is so amazing...

5:14 so cutee! Her laugh! :)

  • I am warm...really like Bjork's character because of her acting.

  • I like Bjork's voice, even her speaking voice is very unique.

I'm not really into the film but I'll give it a chance.

  • Awful movie. Terrible acting, retarded camerawork, abysmal story direction that tries far too hard to be DEEEEEP.

Bjork is a good actress, though.

  • @Burninghay You're describing "Twilight"?

  • Stop talking about the end! D: It's my first time watching this... shh :P

  • she convincingly inhabits the charater!

  • Wow Bjork can really act...

  • Stop spoiling it for everybody please.

  • It's just incredible to see how a versatile actot Peter Stormare is. It's hard to believe that actually it was the same actor that played the cold blooded killer in Fargo. And in this movie he's just so incredibly nice...

  • true !!!

he also played in prison break ! AND HE WAS GREAT :)

  • SPOILER ALERT

  • Bjork did one art film before this, in Iceland, but I've never seen it. After this film, she had said she would never make another movie. I think she will probably be steadfast in that resolution, as this performance and this director could only converge once in a lifetime, as it were.

  • She has been acting in another movie - Drawing restraint 9

  • Bjork is a better actor than some of the actors in this movie. And I don't think she ever acted before!

  • She was in an Icelandic film called "The Juniper Tree", in 1990.

  • bill is so hott :p

  • I agree David Morse is hot, but Bill ...

  • david morse is hot. his character is such an asshole in this film, but what a cute face to look at as he's shitting all over selma.

  • @CouganSmith nice imagery there, lol

  • I should have completely reworded that. Lame, Cougan. Lame.

  • i usually thought singers were usually not very good at acting but bjork was really good, at the end when she was crying, it was soo real and sad!

  • @REREWHO i totally agree. bjork was on par with the best actresses in the business in this film. she was amazing real and i felt everything that came from her, whether it was her lines or actions or little nuances, it felt so real. idk how she didn't get an oscar for this.

  • thank you so much for this. i love how selma's like, "...and you forgot to wrap up the bread...yeah, TWO times." deneuve and bjork were brilliant in the film.

  • thanks for uploading this!

i love the camera angles in thi movie <3

  • it's crazy, yeah? im reading deneuve's "L'ombre sur moi-meme" and she said that trier used about 100 cameras per shot that were hidden so he could get takes from every angle.

  • dang that's insane!

I also read on the DID website they used a hand held camera for alot of it

I wonder if you could spot any of trhe hidden cameras.

  • hey. yeah, i noticed that there was quite a lot of handheld filming. i think i misread what catherine was saying. i know she said there were a LOT of cameras that were hidden around so that every angle was filmed, but she also said something about him using the 100 camera--is that a type? idk. im clueless about types of cameras, but anyhoo, there were many hidden. you should pick up the book if you like deneuve. and sorry! the title is "A L'ombre DE moi-meme," not "sur moi-meme." :D

  • I hate the camera work in this film

  • @faceofjesusinmysoup Are you kidding ? I love it ! That's what makes it feel so realistic ..!

  • @faceofjesusinmysoup The camera work is annoying except in the musical numbers, where it works.

  • @S13AR10AFan that's typical of Lars Von Trier's movies...and it's not that bad

  • @paliss06 I know it's typical of his movies (Dogme 95) but I'm not found of it at all.

  • this part cracks me up with the son and mom at the table askin stupid questions,..then the mom goes,..do you want to see my steps?..haha

  • yeah, there are tidbits of humor all around the weight of this film. :) i love the scene in the theatre.
