  • i have a problem in my home,MY HOUSE IS FULL OF INDIAN MEAL MOTHS!!!!!

  • too bad!

read my comment/advice to Trevnyah13, plz.

(im not an expert of pest-control, tho)

it is amazing to know that this mediocre micromoth is successfully distributed world-wide due to human activities.

  • Damn that sucks. that is not a good sign at all. were are they in your house?.

  • Also do you have tanish colored worm-like larve with redish brown heads crawi around your home(ceilings, walls, counters, etc)?. if so that's that indian meal moth larve...the pupa feeding stage of indian meal moth. they do the most damage by feeding on dry foods, dried fruit, etc including dog food and bird seed..

  • thx for the help, ilovemyfamilyg83!!

ive heard that the pheromone trap (which u can buy somewhere) is effective to lure and kill the males.

  • I had that problem before too. I found out they were attacking the my parakeet food seeds(no matter how i seal it). I got rid of it and placed the seeds outside, they all died. Then never had it since. Good luck!!

  • Whats the song sounds like it wasnt fit for the indian moth.LoL

  • Those goddamn things are ALL OVER my house..

  • you had better examine your kitchen and pantry.

food stocks, especially grains, are likely to be infested with their larvae.

check it out the related vid of mine, titled "Pantry Pest Worms".

damaged or suspicious foods should be disposed of at once.

pantry foods should be kept in airtight containers like tupperwares.

i catch these moths for feeding my spiders and mantids whenever i found them in my house.

  • Yeah I started eatin some cereal and when i was done there was a larva sitting in the milk....almost puked..they come every spring and summer but they survived with us even through winter this year -_-

  • ugh, that's horrible!
