Adele is a great singer, but there's something about Florence's operatic style that appeals to me more. Adele sometimes just sounds like a poor man's Etta James.
I don't see why we argue over Adele and Florence. They're both two of the greatest, most talented singers seen in our generation. Jessie J can actually cut close to them as well. These three British ladies that came out of nowhere and have blessed us with actual talent and not auto tune. We can use more like them. <3
What's with the Adele vs. Florence discussion? They are hardly comparable. Not only is the music that accompanies their voices very different, the sining style is too. The difference with Adele and Florence is that Florence's voice is so haunting whilst Adele I find it just a really good soul singer as others have stated, Adele's performances I get goosebumps at various points. Florence's performances, I have goosebumps all the way through.

@jjoeshaw Astro is a different kind of artist, and at least he is an artist, unlike the vast, vast majority of people who appear on these shows. In fact, I can't think of a single legit artist that has come from any of these shows apart from maybe Rebecca Ferguson. Astro is going to have a career, and I'm not getting into this with you again, cos you just want to argue and you're boring, frankly.

There are so any pop stars that don't deserve the success they get in the music biz, and it's so great to see/hear that there's still someone who DOES deserve that success. Plus, Florence seems very happy with what she does, and very passionate as well. Amazing!

These days it's becoming increasingly common for people to be able to sing, but no-one, repeat NO-ONE will be able to SOUND like this! Truly a unique voice, coupled with technical ability = goosebumps. She sounds like a mythical creature angel thingy! Plus her NYE ROCKS performance on youtube is great too, so she's consistent.
