  • The way you did the character and horse animations is great: I just watch your video to figure out how you did it. Awesome!!!

  • Well Done!

  • Beautiful work, could be a bit more climatic though near the end. I'm thinking of making something like this with my huge homeade castles and custom minifigs.

    Any tips?

  • A great cinematic achievement, and a great idea, though the battle sequence isn't entirely accurate. (Although to film an accurate depiction of the battle would require a huge budget. Ah, I understand now.)

  • This is innacurate Harld wasnt on a horse that was one fatal flaw he had

  • I felt like I'd been watching it for ten seconds and I was nearly two minutes in

  • this isnt very acuret (i know i cant spell)

if you look at the back story youd be suprised Edward the Confessor who was the last king before the Battle he promised William the Crown of England

    still awsome video 5/5

  • I know that; the conflict, of course, came from the fact that the Saxon nobility had chosen Harold as their new king.

  • @Winkyburger they chhose him? i thought he just claimed the crown and used his fame in the battlefeild to make sure he didnt get any rivals afterwards

  • At any rate, he had their support; it's true he probably played an active part in the decision. If I had made the film now instead of two years ago, I would have turned it into something more philosophical and morally ambiguous, trust me.

  • @tuskin4

Hi, about Harold Godwinson and the English crown: at the time of Edward the Confessor's death, Harold was the most influential of the Anglo-Saxon earls. Thus, he was chosen as Edward's successor by the witan, or witenagemot. Bad luck for him that he had supposedly swore an oath of fealty to William of Normandy a few years ago - this, Edward's strong Norman ties, and his promise to William were then used as propaganda by the Normans to gather support for their campaign.

  • @Winkyburger will you ever finish?

  • Me and my classmates went to hastings becouse we had our project about the Battle of Hastings, this is great! the information is correct too!

  • is thire a number twe

  • im a bit disapointed that there was no huge big battle at the end, but apart from that it was good

  • Awesome movie!!!

  • great 5 out of 5

  • and i thought i had a lot of lego!!!!!

  • :0 wow try and make a full length movie and get it published that was seriously cool!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5/5

  • cool

  • I really like the medieval buildings! I want to make a castle themed brickfilm in the fure but I just don't have enough grey lego :(

  • Amazing

  • The stone made buildings make it a little less authentic, but that doesn't change the fact that this is an amazing brickfilm at all. I am deeply impressed!

  • Not really. The stone buildings are authentic. This was 1066 after all.

  • Actually, he might be correct, at least regarding the ubiquity of wooden buildings at the time.

  • cool.

  • that was alot of people....

  • where do u get all those lego men. 5/5 but mabye continue the battle with a part 2

  • one of the best lego animations ever

  • I see that this has surpassed 1066 views... excellent.

  • What program and camera did u use cause is EXELENT!

  • Excellent, the only change I would have made is when William told his archers to "fire," "volley" may have been more appropriate.

  • Oohh, you're probably right about that. I never thought of that before. I don't know if I would change it, even though it is more accurate.

  • ownage!u r very creative and a master of filming, i hated william, tho but 5/5 still

  • you forgot to mention about the battle of stamford bridge other then that 5 stars

  • I did actually, right at the beginning, but the text is too small in the YouTube version.

  • wow. finally the long anticipated battle of hastings has been released!

  • Tremendous work!!!

  • Amazing!! the film in one word is "Perfect"! :D

  • wery good

  • Amazing video, especially considering it was all done with legos! A worthy film. I'm actually working on a novel about the events surrounding Hastings, and I was wondering if you could share some of your sources?
