Beautiful work, could be a bit more climatic though near the end. I'm thinking of making something like this with my huge homeade castles and custom minifigs.
A great cinematic achievement, and a great idea, though the battle sequence isn't entirely accurate. (Although to film an accurate depiction of the battle would require a huge budget. Ah, I understand now.)
@Winkyburger they chhose him? i thought he just claimed the crown and used his fame in the battlefeild to make sure he didnt get any rivals afterwards
At any rate, he had their support; it's true he probably played an active part in the decision. If I had made the film now instead of two years ago, I would have turned it into something more philosophical and morally ambiguous, trust me.
Hi, about Harold Godwinson and the English crown: at the time of Edward the Confessor's death, Harold was the most influential of the Anglo-Saxon earls. Thus, he was chosen as Edward's successor by the witan, or witenagemot. Bad luck for him that he had supposedly swore an oath of fealty to William of Normandy a few years ago - this, Edward's strong Norman ties, and his promise to William were then used as propaganda by the Normans to gather support for their campaign.
The stone made buildings make it a little less authentic, but that doesn't change the fact that this is an amazing brickfilm at all. I am deeply impressed!
Amazing video, especially considering it was all done with legos! A worthy film. I'm actually working on a novel about the events surrounding Hastings, and I was wondering if you could share some of your sources?
The way you did the character and horse animations is great: I just watch your video to figure out how you did it. Awesome!!!

if you look at the back story youd be suprised Edward the Confessor who was the last king before the Battle he promised William the Crown of England

I know that; the conflict, of course, came from the fact that the Saxon nobility had chosen Harold as their new king.

Not really. The stone buildings are authentic. This was 1066 after all.

Actually, he might be correct, at least regarding the ubiquity of wooden buildings at the time.

Inkalever 3 years ago
Excellent, the only change I would have made is when William told his archers to "fire," "volley" may have been more appropriate.
Mitth13 3 years ago
Oohh, you're probably right about that. I never thought of that before. I don't know if I would change it, even though it is more accurate.
