I cleanse and charge my stones once a month. I run them under water for a few minutes, then leave them on my windowsill for 24 hours. Then when the 24 hours is over, they're nicely energized and useful.

You gave tons of great advices in this video, and I just want to thank you. I wasn't sure about how big Citrine needs to be in order for it to effectively cleanse others. Also it's great that you're giving alternatives other than the tried and true water and salt method (which is great, but not suitable for some stones or jewelry). So once again, thank you!! I know this is an old video, but I'm hoping that you will still see this message. I know that you have mentioned that stones you have from life experiences tend to be more powerful than any you could purchase. I also believe this! Which is what brings me to my question in regards to this video. For example, I have a quartz that my late grandfather found many years ago and gave to me when I was a child. One stone that really loves water is Moonstone. I add a spoonful of salt in a big cup of water and melt it there , then take the stones in my right hand (or leave them on silver chain) and then pour the water over them until the cup is empty. The salt ionizes the water and that purifies the surfaces. Also good for silver ;). I was told never to leave stones in standing water - if it is for clensing, let it go. Even if powering the water - put the stone in a shifter and pour water over it.

Hi, I was wondering if it was ok to use plain 'ole table salt instead of sea salt in the water, or even just use salt by its self.

In my opinion....Salt is salt...It all comes from the water and earth. Some table salts contain Iodine and additives....which may harm the stone..be sure to research the stone to make sure it won't be harmed.

Yes, this is very true. A small piece of citrine is best, because it cleanses very quickly.

Another great video. Thank you. As a stone expert and science teacher I jsut had to say that you don't want to put amethyst in sunlight for any length of time since it will fade the brilliant purple so it ends up looking like smoky quartz.. Just an FYI....hope that wasn't annoying.

im going to be practicing with some stones im getting of ebay (amethyst and some smooth clear quartz). will i just be able to "feel" when they have to be cleansed again? I have no experience with stones, and the only time I've been able to sense energy has been with other people (for some reason, only by accident, and usually when im taking a bus).

I love you're videos. Wow spooky, I just posted on my blog earlier today how to cleanse stones and crystals, talk about similar minds. :)

Bear in mind though that some colored stones, such as amethysts, can fade over the years if you leave them out in sunlight too often; a way to avoid that is to only place them out for an hour or so, and to do so before the sun reaches its peak. Place your stones out at sunrise or sunset instead.
