@iheartsnoodle Yes, they do... Companies like this take extreme measures to ensure your security and safety.. ever seen the movie poseidon not that it would probably happen like that but what if something close to it did or there was a fire? You would grab your life jacket and go where? to the lifeboat? what if you go to the wrong section and they are full? so don't worry it only takes like 5 minutes then you're free to do what ever you want.. I like the drills
@whelenvortexr4 they made a lot of changes since titanic. A lot of thing went wrong on the Titanic but them not having enough life boats was the main issues. Now you notice that the number of life boats on the ships may not seem to be enough but the advances of technology they make life boats that can hold over 100 people.
@sweetheart2109 i see on royal carribeans website they have the ship capacity. i think they do that because thats how many people can fit in all of the life boats
@whelenvortexr4 yep I saw your previous comment that you are going on freedom of the seas in october so when you go on the ship memerize your life boat number on your room card. Also pay close to attention to the area that you are at during the muster drill. Have fun and go to the 80s party/ scavenger hunt that friday on cruise and take videos. It a lot of fun. I went on liberty of the seas in may last year and I missed it.
@sweetheart2109 our room was on deck 6 and the room number was 6523, ando ur munster station was A02 which is Pharohs Palace on The Freedom. I also missed the 80s party, but I went to dusk.
@whelenvortexr4 I was on deck 6 as well but the room number ecsapes mind but my muster station was B7. You missed the 80s party aw man that was a blast.
Wow the Royal Carribean alarm system is 10 times much louder inside than the alarms on the Disney Cruise line inside. I've just been on the Disney Wonder last month and my meeting spot was in Animator's Palate and wasn't actually too loud.
@footiecrazy19 There's probably a switch on the ship's controls that the captain flips to sound the signal. Or maybe it could be activated by a fire alarm station (a fire alarm pull or call point).
I prefer the inside musturd station because you get to sit down during the drill but the part i don't like about is that if there is a real emergancy i have to wait to get to a lifeboat
It's so cool how Royal Carribean is like the only cruise line that has different types of sounds for the alarm signals. I went on Liberty and this signal was like one of the 5 different ones on the ship. The exterior air horn alarms were extremely loud
Wow i think the boat was sinking or what?
