I got a cold cathode inverter used to drive tubes for case mods. I can draw the arc about 5mm. The arcs can light candles, and it hurts if you touch the output, but the inverter is not anywhere near what can kill you. Can do some fun stuff with the inverter. The blue box inverters for case mods are easier to hook up though. I took one out of a laptop I had, the wires are hair thin, and not sure how to hook it up, as there is like 5 pins.
