  • My bad, not the utility or builder's fault...I just looked at further info posted a few months later...Evidently, someone broke in and stole the gas supply lines in the basement, leaving the gas to leak unstoppered...

  • Thank the maker the home was unoccupied @ the time...Gives you something to think about the infrastructure of some of these multimillon dollar utilities, though...

  • i wanto see et happen not after!!!!

  • You cab hear my voice in the background lol and its weird the whole city felt that and the whole city showed up I still think it has something todo with terrorism it was weird cops everywhere and people I never seen in my nieborhood

  • my grandma lived around here

  • Man dis ish was krazii remember it like it was yday I thought we was havin a earthquake n keno fo the first time

  • @khiddjai what language are you speaking?

  • I came here as soon as my house shook. it was odd...yet thankfully no one was living there.

  • i olny said blow the bloody doors off!

  • damn thats a lot of meth

  • @TheGringoLoco No, I didn't delete any posts at all. I never referred to it as a methane lab other than informing people that it was not a meth lab period. From the beginning I had stated it was a gas leak. You need to really start reading names correctly. I never once said it was a methane lab nor did I refer to it as a methane lab, nor did I delete any posts. Way to make yourself look like even more of an idiot.

  • @TheGringoLoco You're an idiot - I never said it was a meth lab. I said it was NOT a meth lab. If you read the comments, you'll see that I said it was NOT a meth lab that it was a gas leak because I had been listening to the live scanner feed that entire night.

  • @DJHockeyman Whether you did or not is irrelevant. You referred to it as a "methane lab" earlier, you jock-rash. WTF is a "methane lab"?? Did you delete the post out of embarrassment?

  • That was a block away from my grandma's. Her house was pushed off her basement, no lie, and her walls got cracked. They're still cracking now, we're not sure if it's safe to be in the house :(

  • i heard that explosion from my house, which is at least 7 minutes from there! it freaked the hell outta me!

  • Did Dino's Speedos catch on fire?

  • maybe a meth lab???

  • The explosion was a a secret terrorist plot, I'll bet. Kenosha citizens vehemently against WHEDA low-income housing projects popping up in the 'hood, and other Kenosha locations, which will eventually house nothing but a bunch of ne'er-do-wells, were trying to send their "message" out to Kenosha with this pile of remaining rubble. Call it a hunch.

  • I know ALOT OF contractors around kenosha and the other NEW house 3 doors east was broken into the prior weekend so its a very good chance someone broke in took things which cost money like a water heater(which is usually gas) and a dumb crook isnt going to know to cap it and a furnace turning on would ignite the gas in the house hence EXPLOSION!!!!!!!!!!! think about it

  • @chevyredneck85 They stole a shut off valve from one of the main lines going into the house.

  • My friend TNT did that.

  • I farted when I felt my house shake from the explosion and thought holy shit!!

  • If thats a new house, everything should be eletric and very well insulated not natural gas. Because natural gas is more dangerous because it spreads quicker than eletric. All new houses now and days has eletric for much safer and better use.

  • @Fudfuwsi You mean reigns? :)

  • I live on 34th and it shook mah whole house

  • Well lets see!..... Brand NEW house. Had occupants. Renters. NOW home Vacant. NO Occupants. Rental price roughly to high for the location. Can't keep tenants. Times are still Recessional ! Bills have accumilated and many home owners have retreated at a enconomy low. January does mark TAX season right? Focus people on many areas of character and or people. Know that many have customized there circumference. Have You? Glad no one was injured. Hope you guys were safe. MAY PEACE BE WITH YOU.........

  • lol black people.

  • I live like 50 yards away from this. It was freaken scary and cold that night. My land lady is going to go bankrupt paying for the windows

  • @Ultima770-----she can file a homeowner's claim against the property owner of the house that exploded. Should not be too hard to find out who the insurance carrier is because EVERYONE on the block will be filing the same claims.

  • @Ultima770 my friend got her windows blown out ashe lives on 23rd right behing this house and the city is paying for all the damage.

  • I'm about 2 miles southwest of the location (near Tremper) and I heard the boom and felt my house shake. I thought it was a really bad accident around the area but saw nothing. I was listening to the Police scanner and found out it was a house explosion.

  • That was nuts! I was a few blocks away when this happened the whole house shook. At first we thought someone had crashed into the house! Glad it was empty! Bet they'll be double checking their work when it comes to new homes now!

  • lol all the moving around and fire and sirens remind me of that movie clover field!! hahaha

  • One hell of a BLAST! It shook my house too! I live about 2 blocks away from that house!

  • That had to of been one hell of a blast. It shook my house, but thankfully, it didn't blow out any of our windows.

  • I'm pretty sure everyone thought it was a meth lab.

  • @Perchie26 WE DID!! hahahahaha

  • METH LAB LMAO

  • given it was my old neighborhood, i first assumed meth lab explosion.

  • Thanks for posting!!!

  • Thank you for posting this. It's a shame about the windows :( Lousy time of year to have to replace them.

  • Holy cow! I live off of 60th and Harding on 41st. It woke me out of a deep sleep. I said to myself, it sounded like a house exploded. Thanks for the video. I would've never known what happened!!

  • "who built that house?"

    "Kenosha"

    hahahahaha

  • @tafaba i dunno but that company got the city contract buy bidding lower than my buddies uncles's company last fall they shoulda let DD construction keep doing their building they have yet to have a problem with one of the 40+ house built for the city in the past 5 years

  • I heard it and i live right in front of Tremper!

&& it shook my sisters house, on 23rd ave,

    Scary shit mann!

  • SHOOK MAH HOUSE!

  • i broke all my neighbors windows and blamed it on the explosion

  • Sing along..♫ 4 low-income tax subsidized home projects in your Hood, ♫ You blow one up, spread it around ♫ 3 more low-income tax subsidized home projects in your Hood ♫ You blow one up, spread it around and no one steals your bike ♫ 2 more low-income tax subsidized home projects in your Hood ♫ You blow one up, spread it around and no one asks you for a $5, 1 more low-income tax subsidized home project in your Hood ♫ Youblow it up, spread itaround, get tax rebate and buy new lawn furniture♫

  • Im at 25th ave and 55th street. It felt like an earthquake. We immediatly ran outside and it was just raining ashes. Was very scary.

  • @saramayfair27 Did you got frying from that?

  • I work at the Somers, WI Walmart and this explosion shook the whole front end of our store and even some parts of the back. We had originally thought that a truck had slammed into our receiving area it shook so hard. But then we found out about this. Crazy how hard some things can hit and how far.

  • Racine rules, kenosha blows hahahaha its an explosion joke

  • @Xenofreak7 Meh maybe compared to Kenosha, but Waukesha beats both of them every day of the week.

  • I was sleeping (I live on 48th AVE) and I just got out of the bathroom went back to my room and tried going back to bed then I hear this "BOOM!" I darted up from my bed (I thought it was my dads fan falling because I'm right next to his room) I went out into the hallway like "WTF was that?!" No one heard me so I thought I was hallucinating, then I wake up to this, my ears don't deceive me I hope no one was in there :/

  • @kniveslordx zion... South milwuakee... You're a fuckin idiot

  • Oh my god i felt that too! I have relatives that live over there and my mom was cryin untill someone was able to get a hold of them

  • Wal-Mart is next.

  • I was at work and we though something landed on our building, everything kinda shook a bit too and we're about a mile or so west of where it happened. Maybe 2.

  • I was behind the bar that used to be Murphy's, I saw a flash in the sky then the boom. It was crazy on my way home passed all the news vans on their way to the scene.

  • i live roughly 40 blocks down the road (about 3 miles away) and i heard a boom and the doors shook and my dogs started barking. I thought some one knocked at the door that is how big of a blast that was.

  • Thelandofoz just got a shoutout on WISN12 news!

  • Im on 60th 14th ave and it shook my house so hard i thought some hit it with a car.

Thank you for posting so fast.

  • We live diagnally, north east, across Columbus park (about 60 yards from where the people were standing making this video) from that explosion. It pushed myself and my room mate backwards in our seats. Our house shook. We also had most of our windows upstairs get blown out. It was pretty frightening. Emergency response time was very fast. They cordened off the park (due to the hundred or so people that arrived to rubberneck) in about 10 minutes. Fire Chief gave statement..gas leak.

  • Im on 60th 14th ave and it shook my house so hard i thought some hit it with a car.

  • @kniveslordx i was in zion at the time and didnt hear or feel a thing, and @DJHockeyman i find it odd that windows would shake in green bay yet the il/wi border would be untouched, unless it chose to only move north i guess..

  • I'm near Roosevelt Road and 39th Ave. It sounded like a sonic boom. Vibrated the house. I figured it was just a plane going too fast until I saw a police car zoom by. Hope everybody over there is ok. Amazing how large of an area an explosion can shake up.

  • This shook my house bad. My floor jumped. I thought a transformer had blown up. I'm on 50th st and 21st ave.

  • @tessafinn Right down the street from you on 50th and I thought a car hit the house! Lights flickered about a second before I heard the boom. I just jumped up and yelled "what the %#% was that!?!" then 10 min. later I started seeing posts on Facebook.

  • I live on 27th street over by Bullen Middle School. I heard and felt it.

  • I live by the fire station on Roosevelt Rd and 22nd and it shook the hell out of my house, i was laying in bed and i thought a car hit the house. Scared the hell out of evryone here. I drove around and it is blocked off several blocks in ALL directions

  • i'm sure it was felt all the way down in Zion, and all the way up in south Milwaukee

  • I live by the fire station on Roosevelt Rd and 22nd and it shook the hell out of my house, i was laying in bed and i thought a car hit the house. Scared the hell out of evryone here. I drove around and it is blocked off several blocks in ALL directions.

  • i felt it on sheridan road and 49th my buddy felt tit in somers buy the pumpin farm and my mom felt it past 165 in pleasnatprarie

  • i don't know if a show would really work, as its in the middle of winter in all, and most place to do shows in Keno are close as there out side... although there is Reuther (even though it still being resorted more it might work...)

  • We should do a show to help those people out that suffered damages

  • I live 3 1/2 blocks away and I thought that a car had crashed into my house... The entire foundation shook...

  • i felt this rock my house, i was playing x box and all my friends said at the same time what the hell was that and my dog started barking and i live all the way down by the keno drive in holy crap

  • @Krazy53143 you were the one in the black car that pulled up?

  • this shit was crazy i was in a friends house b the old wallmart and i felt the explosion all the way over there and then i drove there as fast as i could and i was right there were the guy was filming this

  • it rock the McDonalds on the north side of Kenosha, it sarced the shit out of me when i was in the office... thank god that we where far enough away that it did not damage the store as 65 -70 people would be out of jobs till the store was fixed... I just hoping no one was near by or in the house when it went off.

on a side note the contrator that made the house is i'm sure in deep shit right now.

    X

  • I feel for all of the families who's house/apartment windows were BLOWN out tonight because it's cold as hell! But it has been the most exciting/scary thing that's happened in a long time. Thank God for no fatalities though.

  • 2:25 hahaha "Nigga must have ducked and rolled n shit!"

  • @budkybucket89 at this time it's unconfirmed, i've been listening to the scanner feed and they mentioned a possibility, but at the time they were unsure. I am still listening to it trying to find out myself as well. It should be on the news in the morning and in the local newspaper.

  • @willfromthek I know others in greenbay city that felt it as well.

  • Was anyone hurt?

  • I live on 22 ave and 50 st. I thought a cement truck hit my house! I went outside to look for damage and i see all my neighbors outside saying the same thing. Definitely NOT fake!!!

  • @pnoplkr333 I can guarantee you it was not a meth lab explosion, it was a gas explosion, if it was a meth lab explosion it would not have been felt as far as it was.

  • @willfromthek I'm not in Green Bay, I am in Pennsylvania if you read my previous posts you would know that. Water carries sound like you wouldn't believe, it's very possible that it hit green bay, I worked for a gas company before as well as a volunteer fire department.

  • @DJHockeyman what they meant by greenbay was greenbay road not the city

  • @willfromthek Will this is not a joking matter, there may be possible fatalities in this situation. If you're looking for attention go somewhere else

  • @DJHockeyman not lookin for attention thats my life long neighborhood and no one got hurt i'm just sad cuz i didn't get to see the pretty new house in the ghetto get blown up

  • @fusche2001 it's very possible that happened, water carries vibrations like no other.

  • @DJHockeyman I actually thought there was gas escaping under the water and it it made the boom and shook the house. It scared the crap out of us.

  • damn man 17 years i live there and nothing 7 years later house's are blowing up and shit...i miss all the good stuff lol

  • got someone to offer to bet me 3 to 1 odds its a meth lab explosion, I bet its not, but have plans for the $30 if I'm right, I'll donate it to a relief fund for the recently windowless.

  • i'm sad i wasn't there to see it....i grew up a block and a half from there....

  • I didn't feel it and I live like 30 blocks away

  • I was sitting and playing WoW, yes WoW and my power cut out, me n my roomie were like WTF?! then we felt the shockwave, just before the boom hit. I thought a drunk hit our house! Funny thing is im sure the odds are still in favor of a drunk hitting our house over a random explosion!

  • @yinyang1530 that's unconfirmed right now yin.

  • @dcidrummer101 It's very possible that it could have reached that far, it was just trembling in the house and windows in green bay. It may not have gone as far as the wi/il border

  • Holy fuck

  • i heard that there was a body found a block away from the house is that true?

  • so close to my house and many of my friends. thank god everyone is ok!!!!

  • i felt it , && i was even in my basement . i felt it & heard it wall the way down by pic n save & arbys . crazyy . . .

  • i'm sad i wasn't there to see it....i grew up a block and a half from there....

  • @LayDLuv LayD, they felt it as far as Green Bay (over 150 miles away) it was a terrible explosion. I'm just hoping for the best for all of you up there, and hoping no fatalities occurred from this.

  • @DJHockeyman I highly doubt it was felt as far away as Green Bay, maybe Green Bay Rd. but not that far, I live just over the border in Illinois and I didn't feel anything at all.

  • @DJHockeyman there is no way you felt it in green bay...maybe the guy in south milwaukee but you are bullshitting if you say you felt it in greenbay

  • That mess SCARED the living daylights outta me and everybody in my household. I've never felt nothing like that in my life. The WHOLE building shook and all the lights went out for a second over here (thank god we live in a nice building with generators).. I called my mom and they felt it all the way over behind the Fresh Market. I was crying i thought it was the end of the world already yo... I AIN'T READY TO DIE!

  • It woke me up! I live on 45th Street (behind Shopko) and it shook all my doors and windows! Crazy!!!

  • I live on 50th ave and I heard it! it sounded like a big thunder crash

  • I'm In South Milwaukee right on the cliff by the lake and the sound and vibrations must have travelled through the water cuz I felt it. My whole house shook. It scared the crap out of us and the dogs jumped and started barking. It was about 11:15

  • @thelandofboz Thank you for posting this and so quickly - it's amazing the power of a ruptured gas line. I hope EVERYBODY is safe and there were no fatalities in this incident. To everybody in Kenosha and the surrounding areas - God Bless and keep yourselves warm as I know you will have some renovating to do.

  • We heard it near 19th and washington rd. At least it was a vacant house.

  • @0rganDon0r You need to understand where people are coming from with the windows - do you know how much it's going to cost to get all of the windows replaced and in the dead of winter... people are going to be cold as anything.

  • That scared the shit outta me! I felt it by 30th ave. CRAZINESS!

  • im on greenbay and i heard it, rattled the apt complex

  • I live 6 blocks away and nothing fake about it. I was waiting for our house to fall down.

  • Probably the result of a meth lab exploding.

  • I jus don't get it!!! Needs to b investigated!!

  • Everybody, the video poster has posted the link to the live police/fire scanner online - feel free to listen in if you like - things have calmed down significantly, but i have been listening to it over the past hour and a half to two hours.

  • This should happen more often.

  • @ns88ster This should not happen more often, this should be prevented! If you think it should happen more often you have a sick mind that needs counseling!

  • This same stuff happen with another house in Kenosha google it!!! Something don't seem right!! And around the same time!!!

  • in the related videos, i see just 3 years ago, the same thing happened to another empty house in kenosha.

that seems like two too many to me...

  • That's freaking insane...we live in Kenosha and my husband's grandma lives closer to there than we do, heard the explosion but I was in Gurnee just getting off work...wow.

  • Definately rattled the windows over here by roosevelt school... Thought something hit the house it sounded so loud

  • Wow this was up Hella fast. The blast scared the hell out of me n my family.

  • @nickbearden I just was looking at that myself.

  • According to the videos I see on the sidebar, this isn't the first time this has happened in Kenosha

  • I felt it over by roosevelt school

  • I live 1.4 miles away. Scary!

  • Anybody else wishing for the URL to listen to the live PD & FD scanner feed online, send me a youtube inbox message and I will get it to you ASAP

  • @DJHockeyman I'd check radioreference

  • @nickbearden That's where I am listening at, the video poster is going to post the url in the description.

  • Ummm only an idiot could say it was fake maybe it shoulda been there house those of us in Kenosha know what's up

  • I Live on 55th st and 23rd ave. On the opposite side of the house from this camera. It is not fake. We were thrown off of the couch. The front of our house is ripping apart. It is very real.

  • @LoudNoisesDynasty I live by H and 60th and it sounded like something blew up in our house. Not only that, but everything shook too

  • @rikku894

Ya the shit is crazy man. There is house and installation everywhere. Pulled 2 roof panels off my car.

  • @LoudNoisesDynasty Just intense, that's for sure. Hope everyone's okay

  • 301 views in an hour and the best coverage I've seen yet... The news should pay for the windows in ur house for getting this

  • Everybody - this is as real as it gets. ruptured gas lines - I used to work for a gas company as a customer service representative and I know somebody that lives in Kenosha - this is real, anyone that thinks it is fake needs to talk to people in the area - it is real, it was felt for about 7 miles.

  • @DJHockeyman I'm 24 miles away and heard a boom and my house shook. I'm right on the cliff and I think this house is close to the water as well. I don't know if the water carried the sound and vibrations or what.

  • I felt it on the Northside! Apparently it was felt as far as South Milwaukee according to a friend of mine that said he felt it. Fucking insane! I just really hope there was nobody in that house when it blew.

  • Thanks for posting it up so soon......you beat the media

  • @sha fuck you if you think this shit is fake.

  • @llollofasho haha I was there. chill out bro.

  • i was on my way home (driving north on GreenBay)and i seen the light from the blast in the sky to my right. It looked just like lightning with how the sky lights up , but blue..
