  • great musicians,nuff said

  • Kip Winger is a mix between Jim Morrison, Kurt Russell and Jon Bon Jovi, lol!

Winger is a very good band!

  • Classic Love It

  • Kip looks like he studied at the Paul Stanley stage moves dance academy.. nevertheless, great tune and solid band all around.

  • This song didn't get the play it should have. Great song that got swept under the rug for the most part. Dirty shame!

  • @JuleeBeth This song was a Top-30 hit,and was played considerably on MTV

  • wanna come back as Kips bass or Rebs guitar thatwould be awesome lol love this awesome group

  • REB BEACH!!!!

  • Gosh How I wish we were back in those days! No worries what so ever! Good times!

  • Reb Beach reminds me of Any LaRocque. If the two were both in King Diamond they would be unstoppable.

  • @GlidingOnGlass agreed

  • Their best song!

  • nice music great band and i like listening to it over and over

  • MY HUBBY IS CUTTIER, IAM A LUCKY GIRL...

  • did you all know he was a ballet student in his younger days, take a look at those pirouettes.

  • @krwescott It's not the pirouettes I looking at....

  • My day consists of Winger and They Might be Giants. Underappreciated bands tend to be the most spectacular :)

  • Kip would be killer with a Hulk Hogan mustache. Try to imagine it and you'll agree

  • kip winger is gorgeous.....i remember watching his video's on mtv and just being in aww!!!!!! and just saying ive never seen something as beautiful as this man was!!!! yummy!!!!!!!! man thats all i can say.

  • kip wimger has a beautiful voice and the sexiest man you ever seen i just love winger great band from the 80s music back then was rock played thier hearts out all hair bands should make a comeback that kind of music will NEVER die

  • anyoneee agree that kip winger is the sexiest man? i think so<3

  • @sydneylovesjulian Yes! I totally agree!! <3

  • why can't every man look like kip?

  • "How in the hell did it come to this? Couldn't you see that you've gone too far?" How prophetic.

  • OH MY GOD KIP WINGER

  • When I 1st saw this video I was like WOW!! Your awesome Kip :)

  • To all of you watching. Listen to some Chet Atkins and watch some of his videos. That guy was tapping and Sweep picking before this scene arrived.

  • why most of the winger videos appears 0:00 ¿?

  • how come none of these videos can be played on a mobile??? grr

  • God this is horrible!

HAHAHA! And I love hair metal!

  • -.-!

  • killer solo

  • One of my favorites from Winger. Still a good one.

  • This is luv 2 tuff ta tame.

  • Something I've always noticed about Kip Winger is his front teeth... I bet that motherfucker could bite through a 2x4. :D

  • @randommagnum dogone you now everytime I watch this video i have to laugh!

  • screw the 6 people who dont like this

  • this singer missed his calling. Every video I have watched of theirs, the singer is just holding the guitar while he is spinning around like a Ballerina. I guess I never noticed that watching the videos in the 80's lol. I wonder if he can do the splits in those leather pants?

  • @elfnday

This band has some unusual bass lines in that he only plays intermittently.... oddly enough, though, Kip actually does have some history in ballet.

  • A truly great song. Most songwriters will never amount to this. I really hope this one has moved someone as it moved me those days. It never fades after hearing loads and loads of hard rock/hm bands

  • yes ,they certainly kick ass. you guys should check out "Grim Reaper",now thats some ass kickin metal, not as good as ozzy but i'd still put them up high with the lot of rock legends!!

  • Flashback.... no you tube ...no cellphones...just bars and live shows. Miss those days

  • @boob1019

The shows still go on in bars. support local bands!

  • Ah the '80's...............

  • Such an underrated band. People can say what ever they want about Winger, but I thought they were great.

  • @smalltownman73. True they had some good tunes. This song reminds me of my ex-wife and I girl I dated!

  • @smalltownman73

They were a bunch of great musicians,it's difficult to say anything bad about tyhem, besides the shittiest bands on that period were poison and warrant, winger has nothing to do with those clowns

  • This song is SEX <3

  • Wow, Kip has a great voice... The man is very gifted, he wrights and composes all his music plus he plays the base and piano. Amazing! Then there is Reb how is the most awesome guitar player, he can really blow your mind... And to add to all that he has played for a but load of bands, the man is in high demand and highly underrated.

  • @cypurrhimmie reb is my cousin :D he used to sing me rocky raccoon when i was little, i remember hanging out in his home studio in pittsburgh... those were the days haha :)

  • @cypurrhimmie it was better to be underrated if ya didnt want a type-cast kinda situation. reb could fly and was "tore up" by a bunch of "no guitar playing ,,,people"words didnt hurt him however . fact is that he sharpened the edge a bit and didnt go for the shooting star mode. great /complicated licks, show and overall they took some of the darkness out of metal. thats what was bitched about.

  • @cypurrhimmie Don't forget Rod Morgenstein. He has played all over the place and is a professor at the Berkley School of Music to boot.

  • @danimal97520 Rod rules!!!!

  • Winger kicks ass!Reb Beach -one of the best natural flow players of the 80-s

  • Thanks and praise to Kip and Winger for all the good times..cool looks, pretty girls and fast cars: something we call RnR \m/.......\m/.

    Cheers,

  • I must admit it...I F*****G LOVE THIS SONG.

No one can now play guitar like this.

    MONSTERS OF ROCK \m/

    "Madalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaine..." \m/ HELL YEAH...\m/

  • I remember how much my jaw dropped after seeing this guitar solo, and how easy it was for him to play. I was sold! ...Don't care how cute the singer was!

  • One of the greatest songs ever performed.

  • Heard this on VH1 classic yesterday. Great song!

  • do they mean a girl named Madeline?

  • @ma121887 NAH THEY MEAN A GIRL NAMED MADALAINE

  • awesome<3

  • the writing of the name is totally wrong

  • Cmon thumbs up for the 80's :D

  • @dhorvat93 CLASS OF 1986 HERE,,I'LL GLADLY GIVE IT UP FOR THE DECADE OF DECADENCE,,THE 1980'S!!! AND GIVE IT UP TO THE MAN WHO IS CONSIDERED 1 OF THE TOP 10 BEST GUITARISTS IN HISORY!!! REB IS A FREAKIN GOD!!! HE'S NOT EDWARD VAN HALEN(WHO IS THE GOD OF ALL GUITAR PLAYERS),,BUT DEFINITELY DESERVSES TO STAND ON HIS LEVEL OF "OLYMPIC ATHLETE GUITAR GOD!!) REB TO ME IN MY TOP 5 BEST EVER!!! THIS MAN CAN FREAKING DESTROY A FRET BOARD WITHOUT A PICK IN HAND!!! AND GOD BLESS THE 1980!! CLASS OF 1986!!

  • @EXTIQUE um reb is much better then eddie, whos really pretty overrated, didnt even invent taping, emete chapmen of the chapmen stick did

  • @algor123 yeah, but he never utilized it in a solo or even into his solo's so go eat a dick, they are all great at what they do none better than the other.

  • @algor123 actually, double tapping was around before rock and roll even existed! I believe orchestras back in the 18th century used it.

  • i REALLY miss the 80's

  • Great band!!

  • Man that solo blew me away when i waz 16. Still does!

  • AHHH Kip Winger, guy's don't look that good anymore, now all U get is a bunch of short hair looking idiots!!!!

  • the only real question that needs asking.

did reb curl his hair then

    or straighten it now

  • @vmarkk Really...haven't you ever heard of George Lynch?

I absolutely love Reb but Mr. Scary...OMG...he is the shit!

  • @vmarkk Not even close.

  • this song was powerful & gritty, still rocks after twenty years.

  • can't wait to see it again..=)

  • take reb beach outta that band and it's danger danger!

  • i HAVE to learn kips moves...

  • I was born in the 80's and I tell you what... This out rates all the other stuff out there today. I like some of the rock, but I grew up to this and love it the most. You didn't have to dress to impress back then. Come on, pants to your knees now adays.lol This is the shit here. Can't get any better than classic rock. \m/

  • @candijo1325 This is "Arena Rock" aka "Hair Metal." Definitely not Classic Rock.

  • ghey....

  • why can't we hear good music like this nowadays?

  • te amo kip

  • hey does anybody know where i can download the song of winger called little dirty blonde? thanks this band is so bad ass

  • Back when you had to have talent to be famous. I'm glad the lipstick marketing era is over and most of the talent is back and touring!!!!

  • Winger was not my thing as a teenager back by the time this first album was released (15 yrs of age); my problem with these bands was simple: they would open fire with a reasonably heavy-hard song such as "Madeleine", with an excellent, nearly killer guitar riff, to then flood the air with silly ballads. I was not a ballad guy, not back then, not today. This is not to take any credit away from Winger though; "Madeleine" is an excellent song that brings back great memories as a clueless teenager!

  • @vonkaunaz I agree, While I am A big fan of the 80s metal scene. They definitely did carried away with the damn ballads. I mean 1989 could've been termed the year of the power ballad. seemed EVERY band had one????????

But other than that, I'd still take this music over the shit out there today anytime.

Long live 80s rock / metal

  • SO FUCKIN GREAT ! o_o

  • THE MAXIMUM !!!!...FOR ME!!!!!

  • baha! so my boyfriend is having me listen to this!

Madelyn is my first name, but in the title it's just spelled different! :D

  • @BarbiesGoBlarg Got to Luv it Madelyn..GreatWhite is n the same vien too....Auesome Guitar ...Catch UP ..to the Greatest Ones n Heavy Metal ...

  • omfg HAWTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT

  • Yummy and talented...

  • yeah, 80's music was great you could actually understand what what they were singing and that when they had real "GUITARISTS".

  • Geat song. I'ts a shame that Winger got lumped into the "glam" plie with hacks like Poison. They were a hell of a lot more complex and creative than most of the bands that played in this genre, The new stuff kicks ass.

  • is there anybody that could tell me the chord of the intro on the guitar please ?

  • @primusbs Hi, I have Winger's tab book, it is tuned down 1/2 step, the opening chord is G-C-Bb-C-G-C-that is the first measure. Bb-Am-F-G-C-Bb-C-the 2nd measure. If you would like the rest just PM me!!! Thanks, Brian

  • This is what rock and roll the way it's supposed to be.

Awesome groove with Rod laying down a pocket they all jump into with ease.. Rich harmonies, straight up in-your-face power chords, plenty of modulations, great phrasing from Reb both during the solo and on the acoustic. And, of course, Kip's lungs.

    What a great tune...

    The story never dies ;)

  • great song. 80s rock is awsome!!!!!!

  • hahaha no less than 12 pirouettes in this thing...can't blame the guy for trying to have a signature stage move. Awesome song, the one that got me hooked from the start. Thanks for posting

  • @WildWeezle There's no telling how much tail all those pirouettes got him back in the day.

  • How could anyone hear this and not be a metal-head. It's like RockNRoll but better.

  • their best song.

  • awesome

  • hahah what was in 90 glamer's :PPP

  • is this band active nowadays??

    they're way cool

  • @44xtreme They recently released a new CD called 'Karma'.

  • rawrrrr...kip!!!

  • I could actually have sex to this song...

  • Doesn't Kip play base guitar while live show right?

  • 1:05 so hot

  • Winger is amazing

  • Reb beach over kirk hemmett any day. Kirk is a wanker. The guy who said kirk can do this in his sleep is a retard.

  • @cody10184 Kirk couldnt find his way out of a power chord if he was paid too. Sad seeing as Satriani taught him.

  • Is this the steve morse drummer from Ocala the dixie dreggs?

  • @preston6671: That's Rod Morgenstein of the Dreggs.

  • God....listening to Winger, Def Lep, Journey etc. I know if I was born in the 80's i would have been rockin out in my diapers to this chiz because I simply just can't get enough <3<3

  • winger songs are complex and hard to play... you need take your damn time to learn of them... but right now im learning Van Halen songs.. But after that i will learn seventeen song....

  • @Atian1337 yea Reb Beach doesn't just play like 2 power chords like bands nowadays.

  • @badmofo83 he knows his shit unlike any rap , RnB or europopanthem crap

  • To whoever said Kirk could play this in his sleep? Yeah...in his dreams.

Kirk and Reb aren't even in the same universe in terms of ability and talent. People still don't get how complicated and difficult Winger stuff is. How often do you see a cover band do Winger stuff? Rarely cuz they can't and the ones who try don't do it correctly. Both Kip and Reb have said they've never seen anyone get the 17 riff right yet...

  • Seventeen is a hard as hell riff. I agree with Kip that Winger is the hair metal version of Dream Theater.

  • ealry rock is the best! i'm only 14 but i think so..rock from the 80's is the best! 5*

  • haha I'm 14 too!!!

  • Where KIP at?

  • put this song up to any modern "rock" band and they would get there ass BEAT!!

  • true!

  • The other side of that comment is: without bands like this in the past, modern rock bands (and modern metal) wouldn't exist

  • @koolademasta What is modern rock define it ..is it the crap that gets played on the radio?? There is only Metal now Rock id dead!

  • i dont what happen the early 90s...

back then in early and late 80s was pure amazed about music...

music wasnt about technics , styles, bla bla... it was made for fun, soul, love and life.... but now is all about what style you are, type of shiteness..bla bla bla...

i do not care about that.. i only care about to have fun with it and smile!! XD

  • Reb Beach was/is? a great guitarist. And music doesn't suck these days, they just don't play the good stuff on American radio.

  • music sucks so bad these days , i listen to Winger to cheer me up

  • Why can't popular music nowadays sound like this. All we get is rap and nickelback!

  • all you gotta do is ignore the popular things and search for bands that u like far away from radio and charts... google youtube myspace internet radio.. there still are some good things..

  • @theprogmaster1

You need to look harder, try anthrax! Or wolfmother!

  • @theprogmaster1 it doesnt matter if the music is popular or not but how great it is

  • @theprogmaster1 does it matter if its popular or not but if it sounds good

  • @theprogmaster1 08s metal is the best sounding music

  • @theprogmaster1 i agree man, all we get is god damn fucking rap and the modern "rock" it's actually a piece of junk (they're playing the guitar like babies).. anyway, thanks God that we STILL have the opportunity to choose what we're listening to, that's important!

  • @theprogmaster1 wtf u mean nickelback and rap are good you fuck up

  • @smoothgerable maybe in your opinion and I'll admit that nickelback is pretty good live, but in my opinion rap is talentless shit that luckily doesn't make my ears bleed and also I think it's poisoning the damn minds of people everywhere. don't call that other person a fuck up just because it's their opinion that nickelback and rap aren't good.

  • @theprogmaster1 who cares if its popular or not..doesnt make it any different

  • @theprogmaster1 Because the industry is a bloody joke. No one cares about writing anything good. Rap, bubblegum pop, and other poser music is what sells. To a lifelong musician/songwriter the music from the 50s- 80s was probably the best years of music ever. Not all of it was great, but we'll remember the Beatles, Iorn Maiden, and the Scorpions in 50 years. Who the hell is gonna remember Justin Bieber in 50 years? No one!

  • @theprogmaster1

please stop using 'rap' and 'music' in the same sentence.

    ;)

  • awesome!

  • See when i watch this stuff i want a time machine. Cause i wanna be around these guys and Motley Crue, and Ratt. God i wanna go to the 80s and rock n roll with the best

  • This music does put me in a time machine! Winger is amazing, the riffs really get me pumped! You like Ratt, wait for their upcoming album man, should be great! Wish Winger could come out with another album!

  • They did. It's called Karma! It came out late last year!

  • the story never dies!

  • Boy, why the terrible language phrydoom?? You trying to prove your mouth is spewing diarrhea, how does it taste?????

  • By the wat, the "Comment Pending Approval" is designed for all you losers that can't tell talent from a hole in the wall. Listen to the solo, Kirk from metallica couldn't touch it. CUNTS!

  • Dude, that is a stretch, and even you have to know that. I will give him props, he is very good, but to say Kirk could not touch what he does?? I have seen both bands in concert more than once, and Kurt could do this in his sleep

  • @danielkimble1972

hahha thats true... Reb Beach hes bicthiss skillz kills almost every guitar player today.... ;)

  • @phrydoom

pound for pound, Winger can play their instruments like no other. that includes Kirk. however, i think they would've and should've been a prog-metal band. i don't know the situation as to why they went this route instead, however, you are absoluetly right. Winger is a very talented group of musicians.

  • i was into thrash back then but i knew quality rock music when i heard it and winger were fucking quality!!

  • Is there any chance of releasing "no mans land" by Winger?

  • I love during his guitar solo Reb Beach does that spin while he's walking toward the camera around 2:11...check it out!

sexy macho young gun rock kid shit mutheruckers!

  • Check out Wingers new album KARMA fans its kicks ass, buy this album now. You'll be so totaly stoked you'll send me a thanks.. Kips new shit rocks or Ill buy ya beer.

  • It's pretty good. Mainly sounds like classic Winger but with a little harder edge.

  • yeah it rocks!

  • Bad ass song. Winger band is hard rock at its best.

  • I hear Kip Winger isn't a bad bass player when he actually plays the damn thing...saw him when he was Alice Cooper's bass player

  • That guitar intro is one of the coolest sounding riffs ever. It was one of the reasons I started playing and 1st thing I learned. Anytime I played it for someone they thought it sounded great. Even people brainwashed by Bevis and Butthead to think Winger sucked. Since this song is obscure most people don't recognize it. So they hear it without prejudice.

  • At 1:31 if i'm the drummer you get a stick in the EYE for trying sing behind me like that!

  • @vikspix HAHAHA!!! That's great!! Thanks for the laugh man!!

  • Brilliant! What a song! And Winger still rocks today - even better than 20 years ago!

  • great song....

  • Winger seemed to get a bad rap because of the "pretty-boy" image, but there were few guys who could belt it out like Kip...the catch for me on this song (besides the amazing hook) was the acoustic riff...that was a work of genius...Guys, you will ALWAYS be kick-ass in my book!...and Reb, regards from Da 'Burgh!!

  • taht 900 spin is harder than it looks

  • Trop bon! J'ai écouté plein de fois cet album. Ça m'a rappellé des souvenirs.

  • yhey look like they're having loads of fun

  • Reb should be charged with assualt and battery on the whammy bar. What a god!

  • Yeah, Reb is a total bad ass.

  • such tender eyes....such a sweet believer.......

  • Very unique sound compared to all the other glam bands. Winger had a very progressive influenced sound. The vocal melodies and guitar playing are off the hook! Awesome song!

  • Yeah! Same to Extreme, another original and underrated band like Winger. They both are not glam in my opinion
