ok the exaust is titanium and its thin, when u run the choke it makes it glow and when u idle it for 2 long it glows it needs air flowing through the radiators so it dont do that but its perfectly normal

But i have the 2007 fork clamps on it to get faster in the corner.

Hey, Yeah the 230's are a great bike depending on how much money you've got.

Personally i would just concentrate on the performance parts first, like pipe header etc.

but you can get all of these parts from your local bike shop. I personally would try online first as you can save some serious dollars( EBay).Make sure you look around first and dont just buy the first one you see.

I would also have a look at other videos of 230's and see whats they have done to their bikes and what they recommend.

well the header pipe is the pipe that goes from your engine to your exhaust, giving a vast improvement to performance, they can cost between ($100-$500) depending on the quality, the same goes with the exhaust. Their are heaps of performance parts that you can get for them,they are the ones i would start on first though.

ok honestly....crf230's are shit, if u wer going to buy the bike then upgrade it then u might aswell just go out and buy a crf250r, its basicly the same as the 230 but its got the extra 20cc and all the racing parts, so ther is no need for upgrade, but it also depends on what kind of rider you are, 230's are more of a farm/trail bike for people who like to take it eezy and 250's are more freestyle bikes for nutcases such as myself.

the reason i got the 230 is simply because i do alot of trail riding too.....but the 230 with the carb jet, big gun exaust etc. is perfect in the pit too.... i am doing the bike up to sell....

Its better to buy them in the crate if you can because they are way cheaper. It is good to do all that and repack your linkage, swingarm and stering stem bearings. If you have ever looked inside one of the factory bearings it looks like they through some vaseline in it and put it together.

You what I think is a BIG ripoff ? it's the fact that a Honda CRF250r costs around $6,449 wich is about €4060.2904 in the US, but here in belgium it costs €7.650,00 wich is around $12151.26

nice bike dude , just for the record ur bike is overheating when the pipe starts to glow. dont idle with the choke one to long , dont rev the hell out of it idling an chek your coolant levels man! howcome u had to assemble urs? i bought my 07 brand new and the dealership assembled it and everything for me

the pipe was hot a few seconds after the starting. maybe it was so hot because it was the first start. now the pipe isnt red after start.

my boyfirend bought the crf from a privat man. so it was cheaper and he wanted it in a box cause he wanted to lubricate it himself, then its sure that it is done ;-)

nice bike one of the worst things you can do to a four stroke is sit there with it idleing really hot they run good right after you push the choke in but nice bike. try running it without the steering stabilizer makes the front end drag less belive me. and make sure u always check the oil those things suck oil like a beast USE SYNTHETIC. nice bike though man

hmm, i didn't ride the 07 crf. but the difference between the 06 and the 08 is really big. the engine is much better and the handling is a little bit better, i think.

the 08 has a much better engine, the handling, i think, is a little bit better, but not the suspension. i had the 06 too, and the suspension was better. but it was made by TKM and the suspension of the new honda is not tuned yet. its NOT bad!!! but it could be better... for me ;-)

wow...I've had brand new Motocross Bikes before, but that was back from the Mid-90s to the Early 00s When I was Racing High-Level Amature Motocross Racing, I won the Supermini B Class at Loretta Lynns Twice, I won 80A at Ponca City 1 time, & I won 125c following year 125B & on my first year in 125A at Loretta's I Hurt my knee really bad, had to have my knee replaced by a Titanium one, & Doctors said if I hurt that knee that they would cut my leg off from the knee-down...& I Retired right there

dude, you have to ride a new bike really HARD. Lots of full throttle on the first ride. This helps 'grind' the rings into conformity with the cylinder bore, while the hone job is still rough.

are u serious?!......dude, your engine has already been revved to the rev limiter (on a dyno) at the factory! Trust me man....this is the correct way to break-in an engine, even more so an enine like this that has Moly-Plasma rings and Chrome plated cylinder.

yes for greasing. the steering head bearing was well greased, but the redirection bearings were not well greased. and thats bad because it will not last long then.
