I am a black man too and the hair bumps you get from shaving are so irritating and evil! That is why I would just grow a light beard and trim it up. Then just use warm water and your favorite acne wash. However it's not all that bad. Imagine if you did not have to ability to grow any hair on your whole entire face. Don't worry brother. It will get better.
I know the feeling. I am going to try the razor again after 25 years. The Magic Shave in the blue can I can't find in my area anymore. I am going to try the pre wash with warm water, shave with the grain, and just hope and pray I make it through. Also, Magic Shave works, but I am just tired of all the prep and the smell. Ive used a lot of over the counter products, most are a waste of money, but high time bump stopper works pretty well, you have to use it 2x a day, though..also, shave every 24 hrs, and wash the face first! My bumps look better now.

ughh the only solution is to get a fine needle and and take out the hair, not take the hair from the folicle, but just to take the end that grew in out,u know what i mean? u dont have to tweeze. i have no ingrown hairs anymore thank God. If u were near me, i'd show u how. And after u do that u have to wash and cleanse your face and sooth the skin with cool water
I use a liner clippers to shave my hair, then I leave on clearasil facewash on my face for 10 mins. I wash it of dry my face and use clearasil alcohol wipes on my face. It works and keeps me bump free, I shave with liner clippers every other day. Keep the hair on your face short, before it curls into your skin and bump up.
I have the same problem too, and it really pisses me off, i have been to dermatologist and i've tried everything and nothing works, nothing ever works, and i don't think white people have it as bad as us, or there would be a cure.... i used to be a model i was Mr.Barbados World 2006, hence the youtube name, i was in Mr.world, i had a modeling career, till this shit happened to me, and it's awful. sigh.

I dry shave my beard wit trimmers. Then moistened ashy skin with a warm towel and leave it alone. If I do see a bump I pull the hair out of the bump wit tweezers and leave it until my skin heal. I never mess with a bump wit wet skin.
yep im white and i have it on my neck i know how you feel infact i think it looks worse on white skin cos my face is white but my neck turns all pink/red and blotchy try (tend skin solution) its cheap and it works also have a hot shower before you shave

Allsmillions on youtube has a few videos talking about it, and it works for me. I just include it in my shaving routine, and also before I retire for the night.
Part of your problem though is that you're shaving and cutting the hairs too low.

If you're using tweezers and clippers, learn how to DISINFECT PROPERLY (Google for products and methods) and do it before every use. Witch Hazel worked wonders for me. Try Witch Hazel everyday ( even when you're not shaving. Use it on your face as well, but apply lotion afterwards. ) One thing also you can do, Is not use razors on your skin. Black skin is prone to razors and you'll develop bumps. Just don't use it. Use a trimmer instead, they're better.

I dont do a close shave, I use bump patrol and try to moisturize my skin, i notice the dryer it is the more the in grown hairs come, and I pull them out before they get bad, I am able to see them under my skin, oh yeah exfoliate your skin too, it helps soften s the skin.

aye man I feel your pain.. my neck used to look like a nestle crunch before I changed my shaving habits... I let a full beard grow in and the bumps disappeared, then i started shavin myself with the grain (nice and easy), and replaced my blades after 2 uses, and usin tea tree oil and my face has gotten a lot better and more accustomed to shaving.

You could also consider getting electrolysis done by a professional, which eventually would stop the hairs from growing back at all! Consults are usually free, so its worth a shot to see if one could help you. I have read that the Black Man has to use a hair dissolving Cream rather than a razor blade in order to remove a beard without getting ingrown hairs.

aye man I feel your pain.. my neck used to look like a nestle crunch before I changed my shaving habits... I let a full beard grow in and the bumps disappeared, then i started shavin myself with the grain (nice and easy), and replaced my blades after 2 uses, and usin tea tree oil and my face has gotten a lot better and more accustomed to shaving.
You can get through it man, there's always light at the end of the tunnel

You could also consider getting electrolysis done by a professional, which eventually would stop the hairs from growing back at all! Consults are usually free, so its worth a shot to see if one could help you. They do sell "DIY" electrolysis systems, but it is better to have a partner (read: hot sexy babe) to use the tool, as they can see the pores easier. Just and idea! You are sexy regardless, dude, so don't let it get you down.

It happens to white men too so dont worry, my brother and I both have the same problem with ingrown hairs on our face. I usually do what bigdog533 suggested hope it helps u bro

before you dig into your neck or where ever. take a very hot towel put it on your face your skin pores will open. then start removing the folicles it will be alot less painfull an alot easier for your hair to grow out the next time!!
