No offline mode!? It smells like shitty Google Navigation, based on Google Maps. The unreliable navigation of Android make me thinking again about Nokia. But this... oh, no. I don't want the same nightmare, like with Android. So... Nokia N8 with Belle will be reasonable choice for me. I just don't need Talking Tom and the others bunch of useless apps, typical for Android and iOS.
Does Nokia Drive fade out your music to give directions like Google Maps on Android? If it doesn't, how can I listen to music and hear the directions? I can't.
Just got the new update for Nokia Drive (1.1.0.1584) and i'm so disappointed to see that offline mode still hasn't been implemented. Symbian devices have had offline navigation since my old N82, so there really is no reason for denying WP7 owners. Help us help you Nokia!
@cirkusarena This is what's confusing me. Why offer navigation to 95 countries and not offer offline mode. Hopefully M$ realizes this and makes some changes. Nokia drive is one of the main reasons I want to get a Lumia 900.
@eddiebaba To be fair to M$, this is not their doing - this is purely a Nokia app, and a Nokia issue. I think right now I would settle for a simple "coming soon" statement from Nokia - such as the "coming soon" statement regarding Skype from Microsoft.
@krisye7 more like really awkward... she SO tries to sound like she´s smiling, "oh im smiling oh isnt these things great oh im so happy, come on, oh you totally have to buy it :))))))))))))))))))))))) "
Hmmm... that engine looks extremely slow compared to maps on much older Symbian^3 devices :-] Total slideshow... if that's for real then shame on you Lumia :P
I never give up on Nokia. The model of quality . I don't care what people say, but other than Iphone , I don't think samsung , sony , .... can be better than Nokia.
@miodragniss but bing maps have coverage in Serbia. Windows phone mango does have some sort of turn by turn navigation. Check windows phone for more details.
@panoslondon1 yes, but you know how bad that navigation is... unfortunately, i have to stick with android until nokia fixes this or microsoft releases a better navigation system of their own
@miodragniss STFU, the navigation on Nokia devices is far better than the one on Android, Microsoft is lucky to have roped in Nokia for their MobileOS.
@salman06p0020 if you had read my first comment, you wouldn't have been such a rude idiot that you are. I said windows phone has a bad navigation system, not nokia drive. Nokia's navigation is exelent, but it doesn't support my country, and that is what I was talking about. Moron!
Yawn...SAME OLD STUFF...I thought this was going to be something new -- where are the new features...where is the innovation and creativity? This is the same old crap that has been on Symbian for the past 4 years.

Nokia Drive for Windows Phone lacks so many features compared to Nokia Maps on Symbian (just goto Nokia Beta Labs to see how advanced it is).
This can't be used as a serious navigation device. What on earth is Nokia thinking?

@livewallberg It most certainly has a compass. The Mango chassis demands it. For further proof jump to Nokia's Spec page for the 800.
And how exactly is Windows Phone for the third world?
Pranav360 4 months ago
No compass, no nfc, no front facing camera. windows phone is for third world the rest wants an n9.
livewallberg 4 months ago
@livewallberg No compass? I am using a compass app on my windows phone very happily. There a few compass apps. NFC etc will come next year.
