I have always loved this band. This album ( and especially this song ) has gotten so mature. I've been listening to this song on repeat a lot. It's amazing. It applies to just about everybody's life!
@ househarr...when you're in need , never ask a rich man for help because he won't give you any...ask a poor person, because they share whatever they have....
@Becky83436 please don't turn such a great song into class warfare. The rich account for a very large amount of charity and volunteer work. The rich are no greater than the poor. We all owe it to our country to be good neighbors and look out for each other.
Have to say been looking for some good music lately and damn, I'm impressed. Even work a harmonica into this. This is the type of music I think God is smiling too and have to be honest as I sit here sipping a beer in the sun its bringing one here too.
this music by the old crow medicine show has registered & entered a new era.it is revolutionary,a true tribute to the new milenium.cause for peace & harmony.john lennon would of loved this music /this group.in loving memory of john lennon.loving memory of janis joplin.all who have passed so will these gents one day be forever remembered.let rock.i call this rock & roll, new era
total blow away.this one is about me.good men go wrong in these days of the greatest depression.god forgive me for i have sinned & will again, again and a again.i keep getting up on my own power.all the men i know are no good cocksuckers and they keep on kicking me when i'm down, when i get up they run.the cowards run.i must be a scarey guy,i'm sure i'm uglier when i am drunk.i get even.i always hit my target.everytime.....for the good old old times.this is for me.
saw the boys with Dave Rawlings Machine at DelFest, and Gillian played some banjo. one of the most incredible things i've ever witnessed. truly, purely, lovely.

As much as I dislike other "country" music from the past few decades, I like these guys. Not just talking about four-wheelers and tractors.

This song is great. It reminds me of my father. My new favorite OCMS song.
