This isn't meant to be an offense, I like this guy and Wikileaks but there are so many details (also the mails he's said to have written to this 19 year old girl and his choice of words...) that really made me wonder about it...

There are NO solid proofs of rape, he was questioned in Sweden and eventually they let him go because they didn't need him there anymore! He just keeps trying to explain that more clearly but the interviewer still doesn't get it. If her job is to read dumb questions, then what a great job that she does.

If you can't prove you're innocent you will be convicted. It's ridiculous, but I have been in a similar situation. I was accused of something without any proof, went to court and even proved my innocence, but the corruption is ridiculous, so I was convicted. Since it was the first time I have ever been to court, they didn't arrest me. I moved away when i was able to, to prevent my future career from being ruined (was a sophomore premed student, now i'm a senior premed student)

@learn99toswim Assange hasn't actually been charged with anything. You need to be charged before you can be arrested and tried in a court. That's why its bad that he was arrested in the UK for something that we can't even define in British law. He says he wants to prove his innocence but no one has charged him with anything. He remains innocent until someone proves he is guilty of raping this two women, but as Julian says they "ran out of time" to prove whatsoever. So the retarded interviewer should not ask him if it's better to apologise to the women he has supposedly raped, or why doesn't he go back to Sweden to "clear his name".

@learn99toswim He was in Sweden waiting to be questioned. Then he had to come to London and asked permission & the authorities said Yes you can leave the country. The allegations were both thrown out. But a Swedish Minister got a new judge to review the allegations. One is gone but the other claim remains, but it is only a law in Sweden. In UK, Assange asked to talk to Swedish authorities about the renewed charge but heard nothing. He then went to a UK police station voluntarily and was arrested
