Lucy is enchanting to watch and I think she should have reached the last four at least. Some others had stronger voices but it’s marginal. When she sang Whitney Houston's 'I will always love you' it had many of us going 'Oh not that one again! I was amazed at how sweetly & accurately she sang it, making it her own. As for going out to kiddies favourite Jedward? What a joke! The twins were singing off key at times and on stage they always needed big choreography to get bye. Not charming Lucy

ALL the contestants in ALL of these talent shows are karaoke singers. No original material or as in X Factor no current material beyond the auditions. The only difference is some singers get a band/orchestra behind them but for the most part we may as well be in a pub /bar listening to karaoke. A bar in Calif has done karaoke over 25 years near the studios where singers are great because agents are always there ready to sign people. You'd think differently if you went there.
I'm not implying that all karaoke is bad. However the X-Factor judges frequently reject contestants because the judges think that their performance resembles "karaoke". This infers that the judges are looking for something more than karoke. And very occasionally do they get, it, Leona Lewis is the only artist I can think of that truely has the "x-factor" in terms of vocal ability.But this years competition was just "karaoke", as I said thats not necessarily bad, but its not wat X-F is about.

how hypocritical. it is fairly clear from the way Lucie's holding her ear that she was unwell whilst singing the song. LLoyd was unwell the week before yet they chose to save him. Simon Cowell is a cheat

@starmaverick um she's holding her ear because her in ear sound monitor is giving her problems not from being sick, she did caugh before the performance though.

Shame on the viewers who voted Lucie out! She has a wonderful voice and sings with passion and intelligence. Lovely personality and face. A charming young lady. Lucie knocked out was a travesty of justice. However, she will, I'm sure, come bouncing back with a vengence. Watch out everybody.....!

Whilst on the subject - what did you think of Stacey Solomon? Personally I think her voice tone/quality is better than Lucie's but they can both sing extraordinarily well and seem to have such fun on stage!

They didnt give us coverage down here in the colonies and copyright restrictions are a bugger so i could only get snippets, didnt get much of her, but we got a lot of Lloyd hahahahahaha i thought he stayed longer than he should have and those ghastly little twins, however, mixed bag of lollies !!!! - what i could gather quickly was my favorite won .... ahhhhh and thats all right by me.

Well I don't have a TV so I've been watching XFactor on Youtube courtesy of all those kind uploaders. Videos of all of the contestants were uploaded each week so you could check them out if interested. Just type in their names and up they'll pop. Magic, isn't it?

@periperigord She never gave Simon the reverance that he expects from a contestant hence his decision. Her attitude was always, he doesn't rate me so what, he's only one person! Other people rate her and Les Mis proves that.

I hear the words ,"reject" , "failure" and laugh and pitty the people who call this wonderfull girl that got futher than any of you haters , you try to get as far as she did and i will cut my own hands off. ALL the contestants in ALL of these talent shows are karaoke singers. No original material or as in X Factor no current material beyond the auditions. The only difference is some singers get a band/orchestra behind them but for the most part we may as well be in a pub /bar listening to karaoke. A bar in Calif has done karaoke over 25 years near the studios where singers are great because agents are always there ready to sign people. You'd think differently if you went there.

I'm not implying that all karaoke is bad. However the X-Factor judges frequently reject contestants because the judges think that their performance resembles "karaoke". This infers that the judges are looking for something more than karoke. And very occasionally do they get, it, Leona Lewis is the only artist I can think of that truely has the "x-factor" in terms of vocal ability.But this years competition was just "karaoke", as I said thats not necessarily bad, but its not wat X-F is about.

i stopped watching xfactor after this because it was just ridiculous i mean it's stopped being a competition about singing..if it was lucy would've have won for sure she had the best voice there and what's more sad is that she didn't even lose for someone talented but rather for a joke..and simon is just a hypocrite craving for higher ratings..

Mighty simon simply abuses his power in being self-righteously and arbitrarily as he often was. He thinks it is ok to say: "You know, the reason why I didn't like you" ... in a competition like this. People who say and think things like this shoud not decide on anything but their own lives. Astonished regards from germany, watching because of these two truly tallented young people, Lucy and John, noticing arbitrary selfish people deciding over them. - Simon should have a lesson on humility soon.
