  • errr... but low tech doesnt mean no co2 only. Thats some mighty high tech filters you have there. But i guess you manage to get the balance between fish and plant to compensate the co2. Nice job to that.

    So whats low tech about this fish tank? What is your opinion of using underwater filters and growing plants? Has anyone been succesfull in having a well planted tank using u/g filters?

  • ug will work well for plants that can take up lots of nutrients via the roots as apposed to the leaves, however ug takes more cleaning work and depending on the bioload can be useful in combo with other forms of filtration
