  • Thanks for the Rossini delightful String Sonata #-3 in C major from a classical music lover from USA!

  • Well played. Rossini wrote this delightfull Mozartian piece when he was only 11 years old! (original for 2 violins, cello and double bass).

As as bassist myself, I really appreciate the bass solo on 1"02. Gruesse aus den Niederlande

  • @melomaniac1984 could you perhaps tell me if this is the proper tempo? because I play this piece with my orchestra now, and I have to play a solo, but our conductor is trying to make us play it at an insane speed, way faster than this. is it supposed to be played at this tempo, or faster?

  • @thereez93 hello bass collegue, I like the tempo in this video, it could be a bit slower in my opinion. There are some theories about tempi in classical music, but in the end it is a personal choice and taste. I hope you can convince your conductor not to play it unplayable fast. In which orchestra/city do you play? i'm dutch by the way, bye!

  • Well prayed. This piece is original for quartet consisting 2 violins, cello and double bass. Rossini was only 11 years old with he wrote his delightfull Mozartian music. As a bass player myself i really appreciate the bass solo!
