The band did not broke up guys... Jeff and Van left, but Nevermore is still living. Of course, there won't be anymore godly solos being composed, but they'll find some guys who can play more or less correctly Jeff's and Van's stuff. Plus, Warrel is still one of the best singers today, and his solo album (which did not contain Jeff's awesome solos and riffs except for one track) kicked ass. Obviously, Nevermore is dead on the most part. But they did not break up, and they can still be great.

I dig his vocals. I love them. I saw him with Megadeth back in the day when he was the singer for Sanctuary. I can dig the whole guttural vocal thing, but I also like the old school throw back to the originals like Bruce Dickenson, Dio, and Rob Halford. He has taken these idea's from the early age of metal into the current, you got to give 'em kudos for that.

There seem to be two camps of Nevermore fans: those that listen to them because of Warrel's vocals and those that listen in spite of them. I personally fall into the first group and would not listen to them if they started sounding like most thrash/death bands. For those that dont' like them, Jeff brings in the metal more than enough to please the most finicky of metal fans, so there's no need to complain. Let's just all get along.
