  • I pitch myself and I can tell you if she drops her hands back (does a racer start) and explodes off the mound (pushes harder with her legs) she'll pick up speed. Also, if she drags her back leg it will bring her strike rate up.

  • @BLOODYTHUMBprod1 ya im a pitcher and when i started i did tht and got in trouble but now im throwing 52 fastball

  • DAMN!!! she is good but if this were a game it would be an illegal pitch. u must present the ball before starting your motion. but that is a super easy fix. so just dont lose your drive, keep working hard, and u will go places.

  • No ones the next jennie finch you gotta make your name shine! And she throws really hard (: ... Just one thing TAKE CARE OF HER ARM! Lol(:

  • Comment removed

  • can pitch better i am the next jennie finch w/ diabetes... this girl im watching is a wild pitcher

  • im just like her pitch like her and im trying to be like jennie finch and hopefully will be the next jennie finch ! :)

  • :( now im sad....a nine year old pitches better than me, and im 13! lol well i just started ;) well shes real good!

  • she is good but her arm is going out to far it needs to snap at her hips

  • how fast is she?

  • AWESOME!

  • wooow......amazing!!!

  • shes freaking sick at pitching

  • She pitches faster than I do!

    and I'm 18!!!! :'( waaaahhhh!!! hahaha

    but she's SUPER GOOD♥

:))) I wish her the BEST in her upcoming years :))))

  • she is dome.

  • For her age she is very talented! I used to pitch and mine were like that too!

  • Im 13 and a softball catcher and i was like wow lol great job

  • I have been pitching since I was 5. I am now 18 and in my senior year of softball. She is doing great! Keep up the good work!! :)

  • U R CROW HOPPING AND DRAGGING HALF WAY AND U HAVE TO PRESENT THE BALL BEFORE U PITCH

  • @irockyou123456 yeah that is exacty what i was thinking she cant just pitch it she has to put the ball in her glove then pitch it!!!!

  • @irockyou123456 She is only nine give her a break she is doing fantastic.

  • In a part of this it looks like she is crow hopping but anything else just like bbenarrrrd said she need to work oh other wise she will be really good!

  • iyiyiy the like clapping sound was buggn me thru the whole vid!!!!

  • I don't think she's crow hopping. I'm 15 and I've been pitching for 11 years. She needs to finish her wrist snap, she's whipping her hand back which is reducing her speed. Finish with your right hand on your right shoulder!

  • Your really good! Keep on practising!

  • shes not crow hopping im a fast piutcher for my team for bullen bobcats and imm only 11 years old and my balls go 60 mile prehour

  • @barbiegirlfat please

  • @softballpitcher1213 she is not crow hoping mabbie you should get your eyes fix and just because you are pitcher doesnt mean you know everything about pitching so go away

  • shes REALLY good especially for her age...but i think shes crow hopping

  • im a fast pitcher but she is really good

  • she only crow hopped once in this whole video so it probably was an accident in her motion. at that age they really wont call that unless your playing travel though. the rest of the time it seemed to me that she was dragging her foot. im not trying to be mean so please dont start cussing or beiing mean its just my oppinion as a pitcher im justv saying....

  • Shes barely crowhopping , Im a 12 year old pitcher. Wheni started at 11 i got called for crow hpooing try using you thigh muscles for speed

  • I pitch I am 13 and im on a traveling sofftball team from kansas we just got done playing at nationals.. but you arent doing a windup you ae just pitching first you have to do a windup.. other thban thatt your good

  • whats crow hoping

  • @amo652 crow hopping is wen both feet ar off the ground

  • @softballpitcher1213 nooo its not

  • this is very impressive. and yes she is crow hopping just barely but can still be called. drag your foot and practice that. but amazing job!

  • nice

  • OMFG SHE IS NOT CROW HOPPING!!! lol people really need to learn how to tell the difference.

  • wow u r really good u get strike me out! swear! l0l well u r awesome but just push off the mound and slide ur foot u wint crowhop cuz u cro hop but u r awesome1 =]

  • thats awsome!!! Just saying u need to present the ball in ur glove and dont crow hop....if u push off the mound ur foot will drag and u wont crow hop,...if u do that ull be amazing

  • @softballpitcher1213 She isnt crow hopping

  • @justsunshine3 my dad is a pitching coach for my all-star team...pause it at 0:14.......she is totally off the ground. and im a pitcher so i kno wats illegal

  • i do as well pitch just let you know you need to drag your foot.:) your very good. i pitch 57mph and im 11. i also play for asa and i bet you can het up to where i am soon

  • awesome target; now you just need to drag your foot ... speed should come in time ... great job :D

  • good job, but ur pitching illegealy dont crow hop and you'll be great!!

  • illegeall work on presenting the ball honeybunn cackes(:

  • 将来すごく良いピッチャーになると思います

  • your really good you have pure talent!!! and im a pitcher, catcher, and shortstop player and belive me you can do all of those things keep your head up!!!!!!!!!

  • sorry but that pitch is not going 2 pass in a game.she needs 2 show the ball 2 the batter cuz if not that wil b counted as a ball.and she needs 2 lock up her arm a little.but she is really good. :D

  • Just some advice. Because I too pitch and have for many years. She is very good for being that young but her follow through will give her better power if she does it correctly. And she is to far away. She I believe is supposed to be pitching at 30 feet.

    But remember just advice (:

If she keeps with it I think she could be very good

  • @randonizgrl They pitch at 40ft

  • @hmw1998 that's stupid

  • @hmw1998 Someone her age would pitch at 30

  • bending

  • so advice get her arm nice and high. not dending it even a little could ruin your muscle. get her to stride not crow hop. and use her hips to generate more speed. Shes Amazing. Also get her to put the ball in her glove than throw so she can chance pitchs from fast to change pr whatever.

I'm 13 and I just started getting a huge K-jump (as my team calls it) its generating a lot of speed. Than again ive been playing sense I was 4. Good luck to her all the best. Hope she makes the olympic team.

  • just to inform you, keeping your arm straight is NOT what you should do, you need it bent to create whip and motion for the motion pitches she will aquire

  • 0:37 tht was perfect but u have to put it in ur glove ur really good at throwing it fast and this 1 was strait 2 but u shud try throwing most of them strait i no a grl who pitched just l like u but like she was 10 and she threw faster cuz she older but she threw to inside at me and hit me in ribs she threw like 50 mph

  • This little girl of yours is gonna be amazing Jenni Finch is an amazing pitcher my hero is Kat Osterman. I'm a pitcher for Soda Springs Highschool. I've been playing fast pitch since i was 7. Your almost pitching at highschool level were at 43 feet. That is awesome keep up the good work

  • NO don't keep your arm straight, what are you talking about. It should be loose and you need to use the elbow to help with whip. It goes almost straight but not locked. Please do not listen to individuals who have no idea what they are talking about.

Look up Bill Hillhouse, he explains the arm bend perfectly and why it is needed for whip!

  • Yes, keep your arm straight!!! I pitch !!! I pitch for 3 teams and what does that tell you i have always been taught to keep my arm straight!!! She is alowed to listen to whoever she feels like!! and FYI my family is based round softball !! so what else does that tell you? I am only 13 but heck yeah i know alot!!

  • Wow, Shes great!! All she needs to do is keep her arm straight...which she has got pretty much down pat....and take a big step wen she ptiches!! When she takes a big step make sure she brings her waiste into her pitch thats where alot of the power comes from!! Worry about worry about aim, teqnique, then speed then she can move onto....curve balls, drop balls, ect!!

  • Shes really good :] Just when she moves up to the higer div . shes going to have to stop crows hopping it will be called for an illegal pitch.

  • shes good...

as she gets older she has to lose the crow hop, cuz crow hops are a illegal pitch

  • DANG!

  • i agree with softball1297 you could see when she was finding her grip she wasnt using the c grip. I am a pitcher as well

  • wow this awsome my coach didnt teach me the wind up thing at tht age well im only 10 now so it was last year but i can throw fast but i can throw right i throw it to high :( or low

  • very impressive for her age!

    :)

    keep up the great work

  • hey im 17 and been pitching since i was her age and i was definately not that good when i was 9 keep it up and u will be amazing.

  • she good

  • wow!! shes only been pitching a year!!! shes amazing

  • teach her to come together with her hands first!

  • wow! I've got to say shes throwing pretty hard for a nine year old! keep up the good work hun u have some raw talent!

  • maybe rocking can help her from hopping but she rocks

  • Great job, keep it up!

  • she should try using the c grip

  • wow that's a amazing pitch:0

  • My advice is to the lose the crow hop motion.

  • i used to have that shirt. got stolen :(

uhh she's really good for nine! keep it up :)

  • she sues

  • wow if she sticks with it she weill be amaizing

  • how hard does she throw i throw 50 she throws around 35 not bad

  • also~i have that same shirt!(:

    lol

  • wow your daughter is gonna become really good! she looks pretty fast for a 9 yr old! just keep working on her form and speed will come with it(:

  • Shes a very good pitcher, but watch that back foot, shes not dragging it. You need to work on that as soon as possible, and maybe get her to really push off that back foot to get a little more power in her pitch. Just some suggestions. :)

  • SHE'S A GREAT PITCH i Love the dogs in the backround

  • :]

i would suggest working on straightening her arm in her wind up as soon as possible.

    because it causes bad habits.

  • wow pretty good for a 9-year old her foot wasnt dragging though..but maybe its becasue shes in grass..well it effects me i cant pitch the same in grass as i can in dirt

  • she'll learn when she gets older to stop putting her leg up like that @ the end. If she is gonna do that she has to do that vertically not horizontally. other than that she ROX!

  • she is pretty good couple things to work on but other she is pretty good

  • At times she wouldn't drag her foot

so its illegal, she just has to make sure she doesn't pull,

    otherwise good

  • she's young, its her 1st year, she'll fix it when it becomes a problem like when shes in tournaments or the all-star season in the summer.

  • ik i was was just sayin. i dont want her to do it to much so she cant change it later.

  • Ok...here's something people need to understand, there is a difference in a crow-hop and a staggered toe drag...if your toe makes a continuous line in the dirt, it's not a crow-hop...you can tell in her drag marks if she leaves contact with the ground...if the line is continuous...it's PERFECTLY legal. Most pitchers who have this problem just need to allow their toe to continuously remain grounded. You get that second push off the ground and it's legal.

  • Yeah all she has 2 do is put the ball in her glove at one point! but she is GOOD!!!!!!!!!!

  • she gettin the feel for it ppl let her do her thang later she will learn how to control her power..............

  • okay she is really good. i have been pitching for 7 years and her glove and the ball must meet before she finishes the windup =p

  • i agree and she should learn that be for it comes a huge habit

  • Also she can't do the illegal crow hop

  • Doesn't she have to have the ball in her glove at one point in her pause

  • Yeah but otherwise she is pretty good!

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • ahe is good but reminder her to drag her foot and push off the plate like a gas petdal

  • I like the random dogs. haha!

    Major Props! :)

But during her presentation/wind-up she needs the ball IN her glove for atleast 1 second or it is an illegal pitch. :P I have years of fastpitch softball experience. Need anything else just ask me! :)

    xx

  • I have that shirt! Same color.

  • I HAVE THAT SHIRT HAHA!

  • shes goood!!!!but thats illegel pitching cause she has 2 put it in her glove

  • She has to put the ball in her glove as a start

  • this gurl is good!!

  • What a cutie, and so talented! Keep it up, girlie, we'll be seeing you in the college world series before ya know it! ;)

  • shes fast

  • She is good!!

  • check out my softball video rate and comment please

  • Haha i have that FINCH shirt that little girls wearing :) She's really good!

  • thats just like me but im 11 years old and shes 9 but i love jenny finch and making the ball in a "C" cup will help a lot

  • make the ball into a "c" with the seems

  • more leg strength. snap at your hip.

  • i am a jennie finch fan 2!!! i am pitcher on my fast pitch team. i pitch at 69! just got that fast 3 months ago. it took alooooooooot of practiice, in fact i hav it today!!

  • wow people. i play 14A, and the fastest pitchers at tournys are in the high 50's. so 12 and being 55? not very likely

  • I know a 12 year old who pitches 55 and ive seen it more then once

anywho this girl is really good at 9

  • What's with these lazy guys sitting on buckets or crates?

  • yeah well i pitch way faster than that and if that is all she gots then she can chalenlle me

  • she is pretty good, i had a game tonight and we were short on people i played 2nd the whole time, a line drive came and nailed my finger, its black and bluee.

  • if she did a back swing, like take the ball behind her on the side but not too far back and then do the windup it will gain some speed and power.

  • to help with speed she could put a grunt into it.

  • does it really help? i always wondered lol

  • LEgal windup!

  • ohkayy. sweet ! but when she puts the ball on her hip.. after that make sure she puts the ball in her glove. or thats not a complete wind-up. otherwise.. GREAT!(:

  • ha shes pretty good for a nine year oldd(:

when i was nine i couldnt even pitch half that good(:

watch her end up going pro soon haha :D

  • i am actually watchin these with my pitchin coach while lloking at jenny finch curveballs and stuff. i play 12u for the collins hill eagles and if shes only nine dad might want to watch out wen she reaches 12u he needs some gear soon! keep it up i luv to see ppl start early

  • good flow, hips to the plate. 9 years old ? very nice

  • holy shit this little girls good! look how far away she is! omg!

  • dang this girl is amazing i play shortstop when i not pitch i was never this good when i was this little and how far is she away from the plate but godd this girl is amazing

  • WOW

  • im 12 and i havent been traing with professionals. ive realy only met 2-3 pros and thts it. but my pitching comes natrualy!i can pitch 55-65 miles per hour. and it has been with practice over 7&half years. and i totaly agree with "spiritfastpitch71" it sounds like she knows wht she is tlking bout and i do to. so just go with your instinct and keep dreaming and beliving. and follow your dream! cuz jennie is 1 of my step-cousins fathers-friends-uncles-friend.

  • Someone needs to notice her! She has speed.

  • I notice those two dawgs were just walking by but when they saw this kid pitching they sat down to watch!

  • Uhm I have more tips if needed(: Ive been with professinals for a long time now haha. So contact me if you need anymore questions. And just always play your hardest and FOCUS on the catcher. Stay calm and dont be nervous because trust me I already see the next Jennie Finch(: Great job sweetie!!!

  • (comment continued)

this is because you can hurt your arm and could have a high chance of being permanently(sp?) done with pitching. (I've seen it before) What you mainly should ALWAYS focus on is consistency. Because when it comes down to it, when your on the mound all you want to do is get it over the plate. Plus always make sure your back leg is always on the ground because then it will be called an illegal pitch because of leaping. She doesnt leap but always make sure(:

  • shes realllyyy good. im a 13 year old softball pitcher. i actually pitch between 50-60. I've been training with professionals for over 3 years and my dad has been coaching me since I was 5.Well I do have to say shes an amazing pitcher. But, she needs to hold the ball in her glove for at least 1 second. Then it will be called a legal pitch. Also do NOT worry about speed. Especially if your just starting, This is because

  • great pitching!!!

    =)

  • I been pitching for like 3 years, and the one thing i noticed about her is that she goes right into the pitch. When she gets older the ump will call it an illegal pitch if she doesn't show the ball, just is she leaves the ball by her side out of her glove for about a second it will be legal. Other than that it looks great, and i think she should be an amazing pitcher!

  • yup thats true

  • ive been pitching for about 5-6 years now and i can pitch 60-65 miles an hour. when i was her age i was the same way, you go girl! follow your dreams!

  • okkkk, the best pitchers in the world throw 65. No WAY ur friend can throw 65 mph. i throw 52 and im 11.

Very Good, you looked like me when i was nine. :] And i won state for MI. i didnt let one run score.

  • Your 11 and you throw 52?? I'm 12 and I only throw maybe 50 at my fastest! And the best pitchers in the world throw about 70-75 not 65!! I've seen plenty of college ( and a few high school) girls throw 65 or higher!

  • I no! People throw like even 77! who says they throw 60-65? RKGolrish brags...

  • no offense but it kinda sounds like your bragging so just maybe lay off :)

  • she is pretty good. just need to rock back. but still, very good for your age. i would be surprised if anybody in ur league can hit ur pitches! lol nice job

  • WOW[;

    She's good[;

Myself is a pitcher I pitch up to 43,My friend mikey pitches up to 65 and she only 10 and I 12,ahhh!!!!

  • I have an extrememly hard time beleiving that your 10 year old friend can pitch underhand faster then my 11 year old brother can pitch over hand. Only college and highschool girls throw that fast unless your friend is some how a prodigy or something

  • ollie That's what it looks like1

  • she definatly has a lot of talent! especiall since this her 1st year! wow.

  • good maybe you will be the next jenny finch but alot off ppl out there wont to be her so dont be sd if u r not you will prob be a nother off the best pitchers

  • She's amazing.

The girls around here her age, are about the same, but she has amazing form. She could go far if she keeps it up.

  • she is better than i m

  • wow really great job!! i am 13 and i throw 53. if u keep on pitching you will be really successful!

  • omg ! this girl is AMAZING!!!!

  • i just watched a vid of jennie finch pitching.she pitches with her right foot on the mound!

  • i pitch with my feet like that.and i have a pitching coutch.her feet are fine.or my cotch is stupied.

  • she does great, but all she has to do is present the ball, if she doesnt itll be illegal & also, i pitch & i put my glove hand(left) foot infront of the rubber, and put my ball hand (right) on the rubber , she does it backwards but i dont exactly know if thats illegal or not. just saying haha otherwise shes gonna go places !

  • ...... i could pitch 65 when i was dis age.... but i broke my finger one summer during a softball game....... now its 55......

  • Comment removed

  • The best pitchers in the world throw 65. You sure as heck couldn't throw near that fast at 9 years old. MORON!!!!!!

  • Do you have a newer video. Like to see the difference with coaching. The prepitchstuff is easy to fix. Has a small crow hop which she will get called for. Follow through with drive leg is not on line with front leg - maybe stay closed longer at release? Overall she has lots of promise - keep up the good work. Remember, mechanics first, speed is secondary.

  • She can pitch really fast for a 9 year old :]

  • Thanks for all the nice comments. As far as her pitching illigal-yes she does take it to her glove in a game from 35 ft- this was just fooling around in front yard. Since this video last summer she has been working w/ a pitching coach that has showed her ALOT- It will alway be a work in progress but she enjoys reading all the warm comments- thanks

  • that's amazing for how old she is, very impressed, she will go a long way

  • shes good for a nine year old.

  • YES you do have to have the ball in your glove before you start the pitch!!

  • dang this girl is great for being only nine years old. tell her to keep it up and maybe some day she'll be as great as Finch's or better on the Olympic Team when it gets back in the Olympics. KEEP IT UP

  • not bad how fast can she pitch im 12 and i pitch 50-55-60
