It was such a shame that injuries cut short rob jones career, he was such a find from crewe and he would of been england right back for years if he had stayed fit.
This was back when the premier league was still fun. Too much money in the game now, I remember hearing when Shearer signed for Blackburn for 3.6m & being shocked! Even though we were muck back at this time I loved it more, didn't Fowler get 5 v Fulham soon after?
Jan Molby.... mabey one of the best pure passers to ever play, at least in my opinon. He was deceptive, His quickness was often underrated, anyway great post, more pleaseYNWA:)
Molby Magic - you just couldn't beat that. And yes Jones was a great player, we missed him in the years he should have still been playing but for injury. Molby wouldn't get into the team nowadays, would be seen as a luxury - but his quality was of an even-better Alonso.
I remember that 93/94 season very well. We were superb in the first 5 games, then mediocre for pretty much the rest of the season. And of course humiliated in the FA Cup!!
I'm a United fan and whilst I hate Liverpool as rivals, I respect the club and their fans.
Leeds are just fucking scum and deserve no respect and good to see LFC fans booing their Munich chants.

@ctlfc77 Yes, this was August 1993. It was in October 1993 that Fowler made his mark.

I don't think jan molby could play in todays game like that. He's huge. But you'll find it hard to find a better passer of the ball than him.

great to see Molby again - he was never the fittest player but his footballing brain and passing ability were second to none.
