I love this effect but when I add the stroke it looks kind of jagged, and not smooth like the one in this video. I used the same font and followed the steps properly. I don't get why its like that, unless its when I was warping everything?

Heh xD At 7:22 U click stroke and it ends up stroking the text. However while your stroke is perfect mine seems to have pixelized edges and as the size grows they become carves which are really obvious =/

@MrDeDon2 When you made your new document, you might have accidentally set the Color Mode to Grayscale instead of RGB. Create a new document and set the Color Mode to RGB =)

@PermanentMarkerism That would be the transform tool (Ctrl+T). To drag the corners individually, you need to hold the Ctrl key and then drag a corner (on a Mac, it's the Cmd key).

@korvensweden Make sure that the new layer you created goes UNDERNEATH the distorted copy of the word "crazy". And then make sure that new layer you created is the one you're filling with grey.

@CONORT650 when you select one of the letters it won't automatically have the box around it... You have to bring it up by pressing Ctrl+T (transform tool).

@heni1996i if they're all black, then all of the points are selected instead of one (or none), try clicking off the the letter and clicking on it again, or just see if you can click a single point to select it.

@ChChCheckItsClan no, that doesn't answer his question, after you clicked on it and made all the black dots, you pressed something and didn't say anything to make the 6 white dots surround it, then you used those to move and distort....

@gibraniscool all I do here is have the letter selected (hence the numerous little dots) and use the transform tool (ctrl/cmd + t). Then if you hold ctrl (on a pc, not sure if its the same on a mac) you can click and drag the corners to make those distortions. Hope that helps!

Hmmm... that usually happens when a small image gets blown up to a larger size. So maybe just use a larger font, do the effect, and size it down later.

It took me just a minute to figure how to make the box appear in the letter. When you click any letter for me just the outline appears. Just right click and choose Free Transform Path. And to return just click back Path Selection Tool and press apply. Hope That works for every 1.
