Well it was too hard and that's why it bombed, but it's steep difficulty curve and challenge was also what made it so fun.

It's really satisfying to figure out how it works and beat it. Because like, if you actually just halfass your way through the game, dodging enemies and not killing shit, your character wont grow at all. To get all the upgrades you HAVE to actually get good at the fighting.

I dunno! It doesn't make sense! There are no other empty rooms in the game unless you fail to meet Zeus's standard. Hmmm... The game keeps a running total of your score and skill and loops indefinitely, I wonder if Zeus appears in that room under special replay conditions...

She is. But she serves as the damsel in distress, which is basically what a princess tends to be in a video game. I mean, aren't ALL the Nintendo princesses Goddesses of Light? They all have magical light-elemental powers for no reason, Peach, Daisy, Zelda, etc.

Yeah, good point, but her role is a greek goddess, is peach a greek goddess? no, but she does have random light powers :/. Still, I have noticed that nintendo is making all the girls hot.  Zero suit samus, and palutena are two examples

The Game Boy version is easier, and has a pretty better looking boss, in my opinion. It was overlooked, along with most other original Game Boy titles, like Balloon Kid, Solar Striker, Mole Mania, and some 3RD-party titles like the Rockman World (MegaMan GB series), Burgertime Deluxe, and Solomon's Club.
