wow. this is making me want to rejoin scouts. I went to philmont last summer, then I resigned from scouts because I just don't have the time with school, baseball, work, and friends. But I forgot how amazing it was...

Don't give up. You can stay in Scouting as a junior adult once you reach 18, my son went with us last year as a junior adult, 19 years old, his 4th Philmont trip, he even did the Rayado program, a ball buster. You CAN go back with your troop but you will be an adult.

Man! not being at philmont rite now is killin me. Every time i watch this vid i wanna jump on a plane with my crew (622 k-1) to philmont and do it all over afain. i cant stop thinki n about it. well look like we went on the same path. yeah i loved philmont as well. i loved the horse back riding the most. hiking from camp site to camp site was 2nd best. out of wild life got 2 see a bear in the distance.

i went to philmont this summer, 622-M3

we tried to go up baldy and got pushed back down by lightning and hail when we were only 100 ft from the top. when i was out there i was wanting to come back home, but the day we were leaving base camp and got home, i wanted to go out and do it all over again with the exact same ppl, my crew was awesome, and we had a good time. check out the slideshow i made and tell me what you think.

Very nice. I was on staff this year, and I actually remember that night. We truly regret when things like that happen. We don't give out our videos because we don't want them showing up on youtube - it would spoil the experience for crews coming in next season.

Thanks for your comments. That was some sunset and double rainbow that night, July 28 wow!! Hope you don't mind this "equivalent" being on Youtube. Those collage videos at the end of the campfire really mean so much, esp. to us old guys who have just had such a great experience usually with one of our sons. I thought the Phil-staff this year was top-notch, everyone had such a positive attitude.
