well scientifically speaking goku and superman were both born on a planet with 10 times earth's natural gravity, but then goku trained in 100 times earth's natural grivaty, so if super man wieghts 200 pounds on earth than he would weight 200,000 pounds on krypton and a ton is 2,000 pounds ( most people think it's 1,000) so super man can lift a total of 200 tons goku can lift 200,000 tons, they can both fly, and both shoot out beams of intense energy, but i think goku's isstronger inall theyrock

@dogkeeplookinatme SSJ4 was not created by the same people as DB and DBZ, DBGT was a show with so many errors that it only lasted for 64 episodes if I'm not mistaken. In DBZ there have been many times Goku has picked up the ground with no problems at all, but as I said in the comment prior to this, we're both going by our opinions instead of what is fact because no one has facts on the fight since it's two different shows.

@scabab90 It's hard to compare the two because Goku's powerlevel stays consistent at a galaxy busting level whereas there are 80 years of superman incarnations to choose from, some with the power to crush anti-monitor prime, some who struggle against bane.
I reckon Goku is stronger than most superman incarnations, especially movie/cartoon/tv versions, but there are some like silver age, cosmic armour, super boy prime and superman 1 000 000 who are just ridiculously, brokenly powerful.

It aggravates the hell out of me when Marvel fails to match DC's animation quality, especially when comparing Doomsday to Hulk. None of the Hulk cartoons ever convince me of his raw power like this did with Doomsday. I'm sorry I like the Hulk but there is no question who would kick who's ass.

@amartinez97 Hulk's a badass, I know. I read the Planet Hulk comics. I'm just saying none of the movies or cartoons have been able to convince me of this. He's never shown fighting with such speed, style and fluidity as Doomsday is here. The only medium that showed me just how incredibly powerful the Hulk is was the video game "Hulk: Ultimate Destruction".
This is the one time it would have been alright for Superman to use any means necessary to totally destroy a living creature. The people of the Earth were in the greatest danger they'd been in since General Zod came on the scene.

FYI: Dooms strength is Shift-Z (Hulk's max). Supes max is only Shift-Y. Big difference. Plus, Supes usually holds back when he fights around humans. So Dooms punches would really hurt Supes.

He did lobotomize him in the animated series. It regenerated. In this version, I don't think it has a brain to lobotomize. It's just a killing machine. Plus the sun recharges doomsday's batteries too.
Goku's pretty much Japan's Superman. If the two fought, they'd stop, because they'd see something like Brainiac and Frieza combine into the uber-villian Frieziac and the two would have to take him down.

Since they are planning on re-releasing DBZ on DVD and taking it from 270 episodes down to 100 episodes, cutting out all the boring BS. And to my surprise, they told me that unless Goku had access to Kryptonite, Superman would hand Goku his ass. I even told them I was surprised at their answer. and they flat out told me that they may be hardcore fanboys of DBZ, but they aren't Blind Fanboys. Which is exactly what you seem to be.

@scabab90 FFVII is said to be the best RPG for one reason and one reason only. And its not because it was any good. 99% of the people that claim its the best never played a RPG before FFVII. Ask any hardcore RPG player that has been playing RPGs way before FFVII was even around, and they will tell you its an average game at best. And if they do say its the best, then they lied to you about playing RPGs before FFVII.
u know honestly this movie kinda bugs me. i like the 1st half but the 2nd half with the clone was just stupid. they should of made the movie more so doomsday being created in a lab cuz lex was sick of superman then have the huge battle. and either end it with superman dying or him coming back alive for a 2nd movie. cuz it is called superman doomsday not superman clone. that and his face is butt ugly

@dogkeeplookinatme Goku has been shot in the head with a bullet and it did nothing but bounce off (Needless to say he was 10 at the time) the needles theory was only added in to be a joke about how strong Goku is but how badly he hates needles, it is never said he feels the pain, it's only stated he has a phobia of them, he can survive planet destruction but not oxygen loss in space, I'll agree Dragon Ball Z is the most over powered show out there, because they can take on anyone, even Superman.

@dogkeeplookinatme As I said before, the needles were only placed as a joke, the fact that a bullet can't pierce his skin yet a needle can shows that Goku has to allow it to happen in order for it, meaning he can lower himself down to human powers which is how they hide their power level, DBZ fanboys aren't much different from how you're describing Marvel and DC it comes off as you seeming a fanboy lol, but I'm not here to argue, we both have our opinions though neither of us have facts :p

@dogkeeplookinatme The needles is comic relief obviously, and DBZ fans have the right to boast about Gokus powers, even Master Roshi was able to blow up the Moon. Goku is literally over a billion times times more powerful than him. Cell said he had enough power to blow up the Solar System.
Goku in GT as a kid in base is more powerful than him as a SS4 being hundreds of times stronger than his kid self in base what kind of destructive power could he really be capable of.

@dogkeeplookinatme SSJ4 was not created by the same people as DB and DBZ, DBGT was a show with so many errors that it only lasted for 64 episodes if I'm not mistaken. In DBZ there have been many times Goku has picked up the ground with no problems at all, but as I said in the comment prior to this, we're both going by our opinions instead of what is fact because no one has facts on the fight since it's two different shows.

@scabab90 It's hard to compare the two because Goku's powerlevel stays consistent at a galaxy busting level whereas there are 80 years of superman incarnations to choose from, some with the power to crush anti-monitor prime, some who struggle against bane.
I reckon Goku is stronger than most superman incarnations, especially movie/cartoon/tv versions, but there are some like silver age, cosmic armour, super boy prime and superman 1 000 000 who are just ridiculously, brokenly powerful.

@Gehan01 Well though you dont see it Goku gets stronger throughout the Dragon Ball story with age, for all we know the Goku at the end of Dragon Ball GT and i mean the very end where it jumps another 100 years into the future he could be on Superboy Prime level, who knows.
Yesterday it was annouched Akira Toriyama was going to back to making Dragon Ball so maybe he'll expand on Gokus powers.

It aggravates the hell out of me when Marvel fails to match DC's animation quality, especially when comparing Doomsday to Hulk. None of the Hulk cartoons ever convince me of his raw power like this did with Doomsday. I'm sorry I like the Hulk but there is no question who would kick who's ass.

He's never shown fighting with such speed, style and fluidity as Doomsday is here. The only medium that showed me just how incredibly powerful the Hulk is was the video game "Hulk: Ultimate Destruction".

FYI: Dooms strength is Shift-Z (Hulk's max). Supes max is only Shift-Y. Big difference. Plus, Supes usually holds back when he fights around humans. So Dooms punches would really hurt Supes.
But Supes has super speed...though the cartoonists didn't use it much.
Still a good representation of their stats.

Why call it superman:doomsday when the fight ends in the first 15 minutes of the moive...
They could have had it that when superman died the rest of the justice league or other hero's are fighting doomsday when he recovers, and eventually superman comes back for round 2.
It would have made the movie so much better.
Batman: Under The Red Hood was much better than this one.

Since they are planning on re-releasing DBZ on DVD and taking it from 270 episodes down to 100 episodes, cutting out all the boring BS. I can't wait to watch it since it will probably be enjoyable now.

And to my surprise, they told me that unless Goku had access to Kryptonite, Superman would hand Goku his ass. I even told them I was surprised at their answer. and they flat out told me that they may be hardcore fanboys of DBZ, but they aren't Blind Fanboys. Which is exactly what you seem to be.

And yes, the show was on all the time. At the time, thats all CN ever played. And at the time, it was the only cartoon worth watching, which isn't saying much. Its the same reason FFVII is popular. Yes DBZ was popular because of the fights some didnt like them but the majority did. It wasnt popular because it was on all the time get real, it was the most watched show on cable at the time. It was the most searched for thing on the internet 2 years running which only DBZ has done that.

@scabab90 Lets see. I said I watched the whole series in another post, did I not? I had a friend living with me back in the day and he had to watch it. So I watched it with him. All 100+ episodes. And like I said in another post, I found them quite boring, dull, and with a bland storyline. As for a "Typical Joke", I said it takes 3 weeks worth the episodes to do one fight. Why is DBZ so popular? Same reason Power Rangers is popular. Just because its popular, doesn't mean its good.

@shadowspawnxxx Sure doesnt seem like it, didnt you say Gokus powers were magical? DBZs fights are long thats why its so popular, in Superman they set up Darkseid as the main villain in the last series the fight lasted 2 mins its hwy nobody cares for those shows they arnt entertaining.

@Drowsong it wouldnt have killed him. If you read the comic theres no way to kill doomsday. Doomday doesnt die he just evolves and gets stronger. Darkseid even tries to take him on in one of the issues and darkseid gets the snot beat out of him. But that last attack didnt kill doomsday. well in the comic it didnt anyway.

@champjr36 Yes, but the way Superman DID do it killed himself. Tossing him into space wouldn't have injured him beyond how badly he was already injured. If Doomsday has a chance to SURVIVE, bringing him BACK to earth is EXTRA dumb.

Now see. I've watched the whole DBZ series and that just goes to show you how boring I found it. And btw, its "You're" not "Your". Don't tell me I don't know what I&#
