  • shes not even debating, she's just shooting out slanderous filth from that thing she calls a face. i can't believe this bitch won, it just proves that people really don't even pay attention.

  • @slappy10524 yea personal attacks. you should call her stupid. who needs substance.

  • Some of the union workers may say "Well, I like my line of work, and I don't wanna work in a job I hate just for more pay." Well, I highly doubt EVERY high-paying job you try you're gonna hate, for one thing. And two, we can't always get what we want. That's life. Deal with it. The blue-collar and min.-wage union workers sure are whiny and don't seem to understand the facts of life. They live in a pie-in-the-sky fantasy world.

  • The so-called "war" on the middle class is really a "war" on the working class, if anything. It's not most middle class workers who are getting the shaft; it's blue-collar and minimum-wage ones whose jobs are being outsourced or downsized long-term since agreements like NAFTA. The middle class as a whole is doing fine.

Besides, I hate that term "working class." It assumes that only THEY work hard (or hardest), and the middle and upper class folks just sit on their butts all day. Please

  • It's an arrogant class distinction that implies that all other classes don't work nearly as hard. Working class just means the person is probably uneducated and possibly an idiot, settles for a crappy job with low pay, and doesn't have the motivation to get training and skills for a better one. People who need unions "to afford things" like healthcare and pensions are weak. Rather than getting a higher-paying job to afford them, they want to have their cake and eat it, too. Well, tough shit!

  • @whoo689 true that

  • I mean, OF COURSE workers in industries like manufacturing are gonna make less money or the same as before. It's a dying industry! We're going to a service economy, and I for one am glad. No more stupid workers getting off scot-free with just a high school education and then excusing it by saying "Well, I'll go into manufacturing and still make a killing." No, siree. Not in the future America. You'll have to actually do a job that requires more than just a motor skills and dexterity.

  • Don't believe the Dems and their bullshit about the "war on the middle class." There is none! The middle class is getting wealthier just as the upper class is. The poor may be getting the shaft, but that just is a testament to their lack of skills and education. They need to buckle down and do something about, and raising the minimum is hardly "doing something about it" or the EFCA. Only a small fraction of workers have actually lost wages significantly since decades ago as a regular trend

  • I like how Obama used some alleged 2008 Census claim that the middle class actually lost income. But of course! We were officially in a recession since 2007! Doy! You think you're gonna a much HIGHER pay during an economic downturn, if at all? Obama, pay attention to the recovery when it comes in 2010 or 11, and you'll see how silly you sounded. Wages for the middle class will obviously rise.

  • She lies. The legislation doesn't delete any secret-ballot language from Section 9 of the National Labor Relations Act. Rather, it adds majority sign-up for workers to be certified by the NLRB.

So, workers would have two choices:

petition with 30 percent support for a secret-ballot election; or

petition with majority support to be certified.

I don't think that Bachman has ever read the EFCA legislation or the text of the National Labor Relations Act.

  • typical party garbage , But she wins that debate hands down. sad to think of how many things she got right preDear Leader , well she for one can say I warned you. Theres always 2010 to get the worthless scumbags out.

  • As a common man, I wasn't aware I had a "right" to earn a decent living and a "right" to an assured future for myself and my family. I do feel I have a right to work hard and to start my own business if I don't like working for someone else.

  • Her question-answering ability rivals that of Sarah Palin, though Bachmann tends to stay on topic a bit better than Palin. Sometimes.

  • Anyone who supports the so called employee free choice act is a moron. I have worked in a union dominated indusrty for years and would never ever join a union. I get paid more than most of my unionized co-workers. How is that possible? I do a superior job and my bosses know if they do not give me the raises that I want, I will go work for another company. It is that simple, do a superior job and you do not need a union. Be an idiot and you need a union.

  • Why is it republicans always play the fear card? (Six and eight dollar a gallon) Because, they have nothing else to run on? The Employee Free Choice Act will give the working people of America a say in their employment. I strongely support it!

  • GEEZUSLEWEEEZ!

What fucking cretin SCUM actually voted to RE-VOTE this VERMIN bachmann back into the Congress?!

  • she needs a good fucking lol

  • she is minnesota's version of mean jean schmidt.she's another mouthpiece for the rich

  • Tinklenberg looks like he has a Walter Mondale hairdo... too funny.

    Bachmann rocks!

  • Are you high or something?
