i i ran my jetboat for about 3 seconds and the impeller broke and it didnt even suck up a rock so i got a new impeller and did the same thing any suggestions to fix it?

You have to check for clearance , do you have a solid drive link or a U joint, or the prop not at the wright place on the shaft.

i just made my water cooling coil with annealed copper tube 3.5mm... and why dont you cover the whole motor?

I made it ! I took a Xmods drive shaft 3mm and drill the impelor for press fit whit the shaft, took a brass bushing drill the housing of the jet drive and incert it, Need to take out your jet drive for this job. If you are using the same drive shaft it 2.3mm.

Be carefull one mistake and your jet drive is history. you can put a graupner jet drive to replace it.

hi there, i have same boat with mods : turnigy 2900kv brushless, water cooled 35a esc, futaba servo, all working ok, BUT, am running on 7.2v nimh battery and boat sits low at back in water, ie: not planing and really drags, very slow. battery is mounted just fwd of centre, any suggestions? move battery further fwd? add flotation in rear? chuck battery and get lipo? are they much lighter? cheers

It's mabe the weight of the batteries, it is standart RC 7,2v C cells ?

Does your cells are in good shape ?

Buy some cheap lipo from china on ebay, 11.1v 1500mAh to 2200mAh Max Do you have a solid coupler shaft for the motor or U joint. Does the motor run freely, sometime the motor are not well aligne whit the prop shaft. Hope that help !

@madmax160764 , thanks, yes cells are good, standard 7.2v rc, since found out they are about twice the weight of lipo, am using solid coupler shaft, looks identical to yours, motor appears to turn ok without load, bit sticky when coupled to prop shaft, getting annoyed!

Brush motor use 2 wires , and brushless 3 wires, If you want to plug the old brush motor on your new ESC, connect the red and blue wire to the motor.

A- red , B-Yellow is the neutral and at the center of the esc, C-blue, white ...If the motor run backward invers A and C

1) Red 2) yellow 3) blue . Change 1 and 3,

Yellow is the neutral - , red + and bue + , interchange the red + and blue +, yellow stay on yellow.

Took a old graphite fishing rod and cut a piecse of it , the size of the scilicone tube, dill a hole on the side of the turbine and use epoxy glue !

how did you mount the steering servo?

can you post a more indepth video on the internal of your boat you have done such a good job of it.

@foxola I just glued my servo on the original plate on the rear right side of the hull. Just put out the hold servo and install the new servo at the same place.

The only trouble i am having is to get the steering servo in the right place so it turns the rudder cleanly

3- 30amp and up Esc( $20- $50), marine the best

4-inner runner Brushless motor bl-2330 3200Kv Max $30. You have to waiste all the electronic and put some hobbie grade parts, Ebay or Towwer hobbie

Dont need to .. if you have acses to the motor bolts... That wy i drill 2 small hole in the back,,, eaze acses whit a long scew driver

i finally finished my nqd tear into with 2900kv brushless 3s 11.1v lipo 2300mah 35a turnigy esc seaking and now i just orderd aluminium cooling jacket and graupner universal joint it goes so fast and it is great!! lol and im making those jet boat creeks in my back yard lol!

I bought the same boat and motor to do similar upgrades. What did you use to couple the motor to the impeller shaft? Have you had any trouble with your setup? What would you do different?

This is a NQD Tear-Into jet-boat.

It's a real jet-boat whit basic electronic.

You can buy them on Ebay for $35 and upgrade for RC grade electronic $150.
