  • sHiiiitttt... you got a pick from jeff... DamnXD! I HATE YOU =D Loll

  • Will he ever do a clinic in California? :[

    Please JEFF! PLEASE!!!!

  • @Solidiquis in Arizona pleaseeeeeeee please!!!! :P

  • i would be nervous as fuck if i got to meet him o.o

  • @Erithlon Yea, I was really nervous (and euphoric) too. But Jeff Loomis is really a nice guy and down to earth. He was touring on and on across Europe, but he still took his time for questions (it was hard to get any questions from the audience).

I really appreciate this. It was such a great moment! \m/

  • @StereoDeth Well said bro! damn meeting jeff loomis is a really nice thing! i wanna see them live.. . .just once!!!! before i die :P

  • truely a pro

  • awesome... he is a huge inspiration for me and so many guitarplayers.

and his pinky is longer than my dick xD

  • Jeff revealed the new guitarist as a dude called Atilla from Hungary. From doing a small search there is a guy on youtube called Attila Voros who is from Hungary and coincidently has a bunch of nevermore covers. His youtube username is hellbounder86 check him out. I think we can safely say this guy is the new guitarist.

  • @copperberzerker He is, and Nevermore sayed that they found him on Youtube lol

  • Im slightly confused with what Jeff says he uses as his pick of choice. In the video he clearly states he uses Jim Dunlop Tortex Sharp's in a 2mm gauge howeva the highest gauge in that pick is 1.5mm and is the white pick in the video. Just putting it out there.

Howeva there is the Dunlop Ultex Sharp's which DO go up to 2mm but they are yellow and not white as can be seen in this video.

I could be wrong but to my eyes Jeff is using tortex sharps in a 1.5mm gauge (for this performance anyway).

  • @copperberzerker Dunno man, I'm using Jazz III picks all the way, so I have no knowledge about the color of each version n stuff.

But I'll def try those sharpy tortex picks (if I find the same, like the one, he threw to me). :)

Only thing I can say is; it's white, hard (really don't bend at all) and it's printed on both sides (NEVERMORE/Jeff Loomis' signature).

So I believe it could be some kind of custom pick...I mean that's no big deal for a big company like Dunlop, isn't it?

    Cheers,

    -Guy-

  • @StereoDeth yeh cool man, so that would make sense about the higher pick gauge. I wonder if the Loomis picks can be bought?.

  • @StereoDeth O_O i'll buy that pick for 100$ right now if you want O_O

  • @TakuyaDan 100 bucks for a pick? Seriously?

But I have to decline your offer with thanks, because that pick is a part of that great moment, which remains in my memory forever.

    Cheers mate!

PS: I'm using the Dunlop Ultex 2.0 since months. They are great!

  • @StereoDeth lol it was a joke, because its Jeff's pick :P

  • @TakuyaDan Well, I just wanted to be polite and tried to take you seriously.

Nevertheless, that was a honest statement. ;)

  • @copperberzerker like StereoDeth said, it's a custom pick. When I saw Jeff at a clinic in Sweden I also got his pick. After that I bought a pack of tortex sharps, 1.35mm, 'cause they didn't have 1.5mm at the store, and I love 'em! They're still pretty think, I used to use the tortex jazz III 1.14mm, so there is definately a difference there. At first it took a while to get used to a "big" (normal-sized) pick again, but now I actually prefer the sharps.

  • @copperberzerker Ya, I Have tried to find this pick too... could'nt...

I realy need sharp and heavier pick but its hard to find... Jazz III is too small for me lol

  • @copperberzerker He gets Custom picks from Dunlop ( 2 mm ) ;) /m/ /m/
