Nice! For those interested, new manufacturers of modern modular synthesizers have sprung up over the last 10 years or so. Reasonably more affordable and much more stable than the old Moog instruments. Do a Google search on the following: "Synthesizers Com" "Club Of The Knobs" "Mos-Lab" "Moon Modular" or "Lunar Experience" Also, these have a similar size but a somethat different look" "SynthTech MOTM" "Modcan" Check out my videos for demos and music videos of those items above.
I'm not much of a synth person (always confuses me!) but watching this video made me feel relaxed and happy. Maybe it was the music, I dunno. Nice vid!
*drools* I want one so bad. Could you imagine playing a show with one of these bad boys? Up on stage lookin like a mad scientist frantically turning knobs...
It was in the 1980s that several chip companies began to make "Moog-on-a-chip" integrated circuits. They had oscillators, vca, vco, sequencers and so forth with a complex analog switching arangments so it could all be patched on chip. But, there was something *visceral* about being able to easily experiment with whacky sounds and make a patch monster with this thing.

A solid computer for $500 and several add ons for another $200 is an unbeatable platform. Install the latest Cakewalk, (version 4), with some well-chosen plug-ins for $300, and you would have the means at your fingertips to produce - from scratch - the next hit song or multi-platinum album.
I offered samples of a real grand piano, guitar, saxiphone, full percussion, french horns and cello compared to my computer generated tracks for several friends, and not one could distinguish them apart.

Wow, this monster scares the heck out of me. I would probably be to overwhelmed to touch it if one day I see one of them in real life.
