  • Very nice work man. I have HAF X and Noctua D-14 too.

  • Comment removed

  • NICE JOB SIR.

  • I have a gaming pc for sale. if anyone is interested let me know. super powerful and affordable!

  • christmas colors FTL lol

  • @muzens wow, thanks a lot for that vid! i also have a nh-d14 (on a i7-870@4.0ghz) and a single gtx 470 and i wasn't sure if that case would be just TOO big for that but it really looks adequate. some extra space sure doesn't hurt...

  • @Ashmodai Thank you, I am very happy with the HAF X. Please watch the update video of the case to see it when finished. I like the idea of having a larger case should I need it later on, with room for more GPU's and an E-ATX motherboard.

  • @muzens yes, i already saw it... really nice! the stock 200mm fans in the side and on top are non-LED ones, right? which ones did you use in the top?

  • @Ashmodai The top and side are non-LED when stock, I replaced them all with "CoolerMaster MegaFlow Mega Flow 200mm Red LED Case Fan". The only stock fan that has LED's is the front intake (red). Hope this helps.

  • @Daemon247 Thanks, this case is probably the best for air cooling. If you are looking at liquid cooling, people have suggested the Corsair 800D.

  • hey mate, nice vieo, tell me is this good case?

  • did you see any change in temps by replacing the 120mm fan on the noctua with a 140mm?

either way it does look cool.

  • @MoochoMocho I did not use the Noctua with the 120mm, as soon as it arrived I installed the 140mm fans, so cant tell you, sorry. Either way I am sure it still performs very well ;)

  • will it blend? that is the question.

  • @MaxAmaSity lol :)

  • @muzens how big is that case?

  • @MaxAmaSity 230 x 550 x 599 mm

  • @muzens i know but like how big it to you? biggest case uve ever seen? when u open the box ur dick got sad cause it was bigger than him big?

  • @MaxAmaSity It is a very large case. I previously had a Cosmos S which was taller and thinner. The HAF X is shorter and fatter, and much nicer with more room inside ;)

  • @muzens yea i heard the cosmos s was a good case. which would you recommend? im looking for space and a very cool looking case i can show off.

  • @MaxAmaSity I much prefer the HAF X now, I firstly missed the "sporty" look of the Cosmos S but now love the tough look of the HAF X and cable management is superior in the HAF X.

  • @muzens cable management is ALWAYS a good thing.

  • @MaxAmaSity

i have this case and it's fing BIG!!! will fit anything you ever need

  • 1000W PSU for a GTX 285? :DDDD

  • @SICKNESSstunting It was a GTX295, and true although maybe excessive I was hoping to be as "future-proof" as possible. Also PSU's are more efficient at operating at certain loads (mid) rather than high loads. ;)

  • Hey bro, great vid and luv da song. I just bought this case, and I see you have the same RAM as me, what I wanted to know did you have any trouble fitting that Noctua D14 cooler in, did the RAM heatsinks get in the way at all? thanx

  • @Lionheart1188 Thank you, I did not have to adjust anything, it all fit perfectly. Highly recommend the noctua nh-d14 cpu cooler.

  • @muzens Thanx bro, appreciate it, Ima go buy it...^_^

  • mm whats the cable managment like on this i know the the azza hurricane is bigger . and i cant make up my mind between them

  • @jeenormus I had a Cosmos S case before, and cable management was pretty bad. But the HAF X has excellent cable management, very happy.

  • @muzens i was refering to the AZZA hurricane 2000 lol that thing looks huge

  • how much did your computer cost with all the parts and upgrades and stuff?

  • @aj5good About £2000, including all the upgrades (SSD, GPU) and monitor

  • Nice rig, btw, if i threw out the 2x top fans would i get a triple rad up in there?

  • @hokkypro Thanks, Yes should do ;)

  • @hokkypro nice,... check out my haf x case

    just search chiknhawk90701

  • nice setup

  • @bboyDrifterz Thanks

  • i love how you went green!

  • @LuckieMP Thanks, but I actually went all red, in my latest video lol.

  • COOL dude but not a big fan of the LED choice green on red ...LOL looks like Haf X Christmas edition.

  • @238jk110 I know lol, at the time I just used the green LED's from my previous build until the red ones where delivered. Please see my later video for the update ;)

  • no space problems conflicting with RAM and the Noctua cooler?

I'm about to build with this case and heatsink on the ASUS P6X58D mobo.. heard it might be a little difficult to fit? ... mabe?

  • @Mikesway0078 The Noctua was very easy to fit and I did not have any problems with the ram. I did not have to adjust the front fan by raising it as some people do with ram with larger haertdinks ;)

  • Well shit...that's an AWESOME rig! :D

  • @LuminolBlue same that this guy said. Omg. I want this PC. I have HD4650, AMD Phenom X3 2.20GHz.

Gona get new PC this year probably AMD Phenom X4 3.2ghz 1055t, idk about GPU.

  • @xLycosax LOL Sounds good, have you seen my update video, with the GTX 570 (highly recommended)

  • @LuminolBlue Thanks, have you seen the update video?

  • Thanks. Your video is nice but can remove the background music so that I can see how much noise this cabinet makes.

If it is not possible in this video then can you please create a new video without background music

  • @reviewsworldin

why dont you make your own vid and put on cricket noises for background music.

  • I want to know whether the transparent side panel will become hot after prolonged usage.

Does the side panel last long? I am consideringto buy this case but don't want something which creates problem.

  • @reviewsworldin The side panel does not get hot. The case is very well built and I can see it lasting a long time, hope this helps.

  • i am having problems removing top fan please help ????

  • @ixy1987 Firstly remove the side panels, then unclip the top panel. There should be screws that need removing in order to remove the fan. Hope this helps.

  • @muzens i know how to remove the panels....i am having problem unscrewing the fan, as my screwdriver is very bulky to fit through the whole in the fan.....i need some kind of bendy screwdriver or alan key shape screwdriver...what type of tool did you use ???

  • @ixy1987 I used a thin screwdriver that was able to go through the hole in the fan.

  • @muzens had the same problem i used a clamp

  • I have installed 2 fans at the top too! but usb cables tuch the new fan... i read you re-routed usb cables... could you tell me how did you do? thanks!

  • @William93ITA I rerouted the two blue usb 3 cables, around the front fan on the left (looking at it from the front) and then inbetween the top two fans. It is a tight fit but it worked for me. Hope this helps ;)

  • Isn't the case air pressure on the negative side with all the exhaust fans? The HAF 932 only has one large fan on the top and equals out to slightly positive pressure.

Could you place your finger near a vent which has no fan on and let me know if you feel air coming out of it? (positive pressure) Thanks!

  • @TechnexLOL Sorry but I cannot place my finger over a vent because there isn't one without a fan attached :D There are: 2x 200mm out 3x 40mm out 1x 140mm out 1x 230mm in 1x 140mm in 1x 200mm in

So roughly the same in and out

  • @muzens

Lol fair enough :). Very nice looking rig man, so you have the front 230mm in, side 200mm in and where's the 140mm in? I've pretty much decided on the HAF X but I'm just going to run three exhaust fans including the PSU. And the front + side intake.

  • @TechnexLOL I have a 140mm in 3 of the 5.25" drive bays at the front. I am very happy with this case, good choice ;)

  • Did you replace the back 140mm with a noctua because it was too loud? If you put all the fans on "low" speed is it quiet while still giving good airflow?

  • @wohoo5150 I replaced it because I thought the noctua would be better, and had another long around. The original was not too loud. When everything is on low it is very quite, and is still well performing :)

  • Where can you buy the lights?

  • @itachikolv I bought the red LEDs from the "Kustom PC" website ;)

  • hey where did you get that 2nd fan for the top?

  • @BStillRemainsB eBay, search for "coolermaster megaflow fan" ;)

  • @BStillRemainsB if you check out ncix dt com they have them for under $20

  • Niice build dude hows cable mangement on this case over the 932??

  • @DwhNeo Thanks, sorry I don't know how good/bad the 932 is with cable management. My previous case was the Cosmos S, and the HAF X has much better cable management. Lots of room at the back, and even more next to the PSU, with the cover.

  • I see you have the Megaflow 200 fan. Would it be possible to remove the 200 mm fan thats in the side panel, then put it on top where theres an empty space, then install a megaflow 200 mm red fan in its place?

Btw i am also getting the noctua cooler. Damn shame it has that color. Great cooler, but what the hell were they thinking making it sand colored.

  • @AKhellbindeR Yes, that is possible. I have done now. 2x red megaflow's on top and 1x red on the side. The Noctua is an excellent cooler, and the colour is the price we pay for excellent cooling.

  • @muzens

Awesome, thats what i was going for. 2 red on top, and a red in the side. Could you possibly update your video and show it? Possibly with turning the lights in your room off aswell for a few seconds.

    Thanks

  • @AKhellbindeR It looks so much better with all red. You can see the latest state of the PC (link) in the description. I will try to post another video soon ;)

  • Where did you get the extra 200MM fan at the top of the HAF X

  • @Swinkid eBay, search for "coolermaster megaflow fan" ;)

  • @muzens Cheers, Does it work with the LED ON/OFF switch?

  • @Swinkid No, unfortunately, only the front 230mm fan does, as it has an independent LED cable.

  • 1000w for a single gtx 285 and an i7 920 ? lol ?

  • @TheUnPlayable True, it is overkill, but it was to future proof more than anything.

  • What is that at the front of your case? fan controller?

  • @Filo011 Yes, the Zalman MFC3, although I have replaced it with the MFC1 PLUS due to needing more controls.

  • it's a miracle you found a 920..

  • @ashrocks87 Why is that? :D I bought the 920 in May '09. i7 9xx's are great processors

  • @muzens I am guessing he did not notice the date on your video they dont make the 920 anymore the 950 I think is the lowest still in production.

  • @STRIKER520 Agreed :D

  • @muzens

naah. considering you built your pc this august (same as me) i thought you bought your parts this august..

  • @ashrocks87 I just transferred all the parts from my old case (Cosmos S) to the new HAF X.

  • @muzens

    oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • @ashrocks87

same i bought a 920 when they got released :D, gold chip as well got it to 4.2 ghz no problems :D

  • whats the song name?

    btw nice pc!!

  • @rick586586 Thanks, the song is in the description ;) "Rob Dougan - Clubbed To Death"

  • What is this Monitor inside the case???

  • @gabel56 @gabel56 Do you mean the fan controller? If so, it is the Zalman MFC3.

  • Hey dude i just wanted to know if there were any problem with the Noctua NH-D14 and RAM compatibility ? Do you have enough space on the Rampage II between the RAM and CPU cooler ?

  • @TheUnPlayable You can check on the Noctua website, it gives you a list of compatible ram. Some people have use unsupported ram by removing the heatsink and/or raising the front fan on the radiator. I have no problems with my ram and the D14.

  • It says you have installed 2* 200mm red fans at the top, doesn't it come with one already?

Also where can you buy an extra 200mm fan for the top?

  • @LookatthatSH1T It does come with one plain black one, but I have now bought 3 Red LED 200mm fans (2 top, 1 side)

I bought them on ebay, search for "coolermaster megaflow fan"

  • @muzens

    Oh I see, thanks.

Nice rig btw. Nice n' neat too.

  • @LookatthatSH1T No problem, thanks.

  • i have that case

    one of the best

  • @lllliiioor123 True :D

  • @muzens really? im deciding to get the 932 or the haf X, wut u think i should get?

    (dont care about price)

  • @Ginounknown I am no expert but some people prefer the looks of one to the other, and now the HAF X has filters whereas the the 932 didn't I think. The later models of the HAF X have a dust filter on the bottom when the early, mine included did not. I thought the HAF X was the successor to the 932. For more information I found overclockers forum to be of great help.

  • Respond to this video... P.S. CoolerMaster have sent out a dust filter which is now included as standard

  • @muzens what you mean they have sent out a dust filter?

  • @6psycho9 The first batch of HAF X's did not have a filter at the bottom (PSU), but from then on it has come standard. So I contacted CM and they sent a free filter :)

  • @6psycho9 How can you tell if it has a filter or not lmao, i see it has a little grill at the bottom but a detatchable one i dont see it, can you show me since I just recently bought mine like 4 days ago

  • @6psycho9 At 0:51 you can see a grill extending from the psu. Recently people who have bought this case have had a dust filter on that grill as well. Here is a link to a forum where people talk about the HAF X ;)

    forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18168728&page=5

  • @6psycho9 If you do not have a filter, just a grill, you can contact coolermaster and ask them for a filter (free). That's what I done, excellent service, here's the email address: support@coolermaster.nl

  • damn I really want that HAF X

  • @OmgItsDedi LOL That's what I thought went I first saw it.

  • Very nice. That Noctua looks good in there with this case.

  • @rbaez333 Thanks, and it does an excellent job at cooling (i7 @4GHz Idle 36-37°c Load BC2 66°c)

  • @muzens Would you say its better than the Thermaltake Frio?

  • @rbaez333 I do not have a Frio so can't comment first hand, but from the reviews I have seen, the noctua is a few degrees cooler and quite a but quiter

  • name of song?

  • @JoshuaBaldwinBrown In the description ;)

  • One question... there are 6 drive bays and behind the last 2 there is the Hot-Swap module. I really would like to put the cd reader where you put the zalmann. How did you do? I have to remove the hot-swap or not? Thanks!

  • @William93ITA Yes there are 6 5.25" bays (last 2 hot swappable). I removed the hot sawp bracket (just 4 screws) easily. So now there is a Zalman fan controller and card reader there. You do not have to remove the hot swap if you don't want to if the devices are short (shorter than a dvd drive).

  • @muzens Thank you!

  • Nice rig man........I'm on the verge of building a tower over the HAF X too.......but studying the size of its cpu backplate I would cut off certain amount so that I wouldn't have to remove the MoBo in case if I have to replace the cooling unit..........other than that its a case that it built to last.....Peace.

  • @JCOOL2329 Thanks, yes I have heard that some people have found difficulties with larger MB's (Asus R3E etc). A quality case though ;)

  • It's Christmas computer...

  • @faceplantcharlie lol, yes it was, but have updated it to all red led's, link in description ;) and now another red megaflow fan on the side panel

  • Great rig dude, I love that case

  • @GTRMclaren722 Thanks, yes it's an excellent case, very happy with it.

  • What music name?

  • @TheSazki MUSIC - Rob Dougan - Clubbed to Death

  • WOW! amazing cable management

  • @sergeant07 Thanks, it took me quite a while to get things just right. But it is a very good and easy case to cable manage which helped alot.

  • Very nice rig .Great job

  • @fixx373 Thank you

  • There are 3 primary colors--red, yellow, and blue. The combination of any 2 of these is the complementary color of the third--thus green is the complementary color of red. Great color scheme--aesthetics count.

  • @DiGiTaLdAzEDM Thanks, hadn't thought of it. I just used the green LED's that were around, before the red were delivered. You can see the update in the description ;)

  • @muzens - So I just bought this case last week and I'm not too familiar with building my own computer as this is only my 2nd time putting it together. I'm switching eveything out from a CM Storm to the CM HAF X. My question to you is, how do you connect the 2 pin male connector coming down from the front panel and the 2 pin female connector coming from the front 200m fan? Sorry for the 'noob' question.

  • @Seroism Hi, they just connect together down the side of the case behind the HDD bays, hope this helps.

  • @muzens - Wait a minute, you just connect them TOGETHER? Why the hell didn't CM just do that to begin with when they shipped the case out??? lol, thanks for the response man. I had even about to go to Frys and bought a 2pin to 3pin connector if that was going to help.

  • @Seroism LOL...I know, maybe it was something to do with shipping, and the pulling of wires, who knows.

I see in your video you have a GTX 470, hows it treating you? I was thinking about getting a couple in SLI to replace my GTX 295, would you recommend?

    Thanks

  • @muzens - Yes, ESPECIALLY if you're going SLI. DX11 support too :)

  • @Seroism Thanks

  • @muzens - Hey, how do you have your new fan held in place in the pictures from your link?

  • @Seroism The 140mm Noctua in the front i held by double-sided tape attached to the Blu-Ray drive. The 3x 60mm Fractal at the rear are held by the rubber fan mounts through the rear grill ;)

  • @muzens - I see said the blind man. Very nice. So what is your CPUs temp at idle and under load? I see you went from the Coolit Domino to the Noctuas. I have an Coolit ECO and it's never gone over 38c. Just wondering for comparison.

  • @Seroism The i7 920 D0 @4GHz 1.275V after 1 hour of prime95 blend stress testing the max temp was 72 degrees.

  • I'm 99% sure that this music is in cellfactor psychokinetic wars

  • @matt99881 It might be, I just heard it on YouTube "Overclocking the Core i7 920 (HD)", which helped me when overclocking.

  • @muzens kool. im going ot have to check now because i'm almost positive i heard it from there.

  • Will the red leds light up the case well? I hear that the leds don't generate as much heat as red liquid neons but the neons are brighter. Any advice on which should i grab for my case?

  • @diablolrm90 LED's dont generate as much heat. Cathodes create a better glow effect, but I have managed to create the effect with 3x LED strips. The LEDs create a true red, instead of a orange/red colour with cathodes. I bought mine from kustompcs

  • @muzens Ah I see. How long are your led strips?

  • @diablolrm90 12" / 300mm FlexLight Pro Red

  • as always the Noctua looks bad into the case!

  • You should use the PSU cover.

  • @RKOver17 I have taken your advice and put the cover on.at first I didn't like it, but it has grown on me :D. I will try and upload some pics or vid of the final product this week ;)

  • @muzens Would you recommend the HAF X? I didn't like it in the beginning, but it's getting prettier and prettier each time I see it. But I've heard that if you got two fans a the top the CPU temps will rise if you use the D14. And I use the D14 and I got an extra fan I could use up there from my HAF 922, so... And would you recommend me to buy those pre-braided things? I guess that's what you use? They look dope.

  • @KapteinFruit Thanks, I would definitely recommend this case. I don't know if the second top fan has had an impact. If you can make your own cables it is definitely cheaper, but I decided to buy the NZXT pre braided cables, and I would recommend them as they look nice, cleaner and are quality built.

  • very nice rig man, I love sensation of strenght that this case brings

  • @12345upupa Thanks, I am loving this case at the moment. I have updated it since the video, adding NZXT Pre-braided cables, replacing the fan controller (4 vs 6 controls) to cut down on adaptors and space. I am awaiting red led light strips to replace the green. And finally bought a 5.25" to 3.5" adaptor for the card reader which replaced the DVD drive (not Blu-ray).

  • @muzens where did you buy the 5.25" to 3.5" adapter for this case? I also have a 3.5" memory card reader. Nice case btw! Definitely awesome. Just cant wait for mine to come on Tuesday :) oh the wait is killing me!

  • @csb04d Thanks, I got the adapter from eBay search ''3.5" to 5.25" Floppy Drive Mounting Adapter Converter'' its £4.62.

I am very happy with the case as I am sure you will be. I will try to upload some pics or video of the updated case (since posting this video).

  • Why would you not get the Rampage III at least?

  • @Evereghalo That is because I bought the Rampage II Extreme in May 2009, and it has serve me very well. The next upgrade will be the GPU. I am waiting for the ATI refresh (Q4 2010/Q1 2011) to make my decision ;)

  • nice rig

  • @fixx373 Thanks

  • nice gear....but green lights with the red what are you Father Christmas

  • @uteopia lol, the green lights are just what I had laying around. I am waiting for the red LED replacements to be delivered.
