Items that are sold are taxed. In some states there is a luxury tax for buying certain items. Profits go to shareholders which are quite often retirement accounts and unions. Corporations represent people just like governments. Don't demonize government programs that give people opportunities, jobs, health care, vacations and so forth. The difference between corporations and government is that you can vote for how you are represented by government but you can't vote for how you are represented by corporations. Items that are sold are taxed. In some states there is a luxury tax for buying certain items. Profits go to shareholders which are quite often retirement accounts and unions.
