In the UK in the 1950s three wheelers were thought to be more economic to drive and were allowed to be driven by people who only had passed a driving test for motorcycles. Also the annual road tax was considerably chearper than for a four wheeled car.
what was the reason for the three wheel cars? I could see single in the back they could use a motorcycle engine and rear wheel drive! but a single in the front!!

where do you carry rear passengers or a 5cwt load?either side of the rear wheel?!
