south american clay court player´s, don´t feel to comfortable to play well at the net, same for spaniard´s, it´s just not their comfort zone..

exactly, even though today tennis on any surface is much more from the baseline than anything else, few guy´s feel comfortable to rush the net often or make very few approaches during a match..

i think that roddick was playing that match against Juan ignacio Chela, the argentinian, for the 3rd round..........Andy reached to Quarterfinals and lost against Pete Sampras, who was the champion........

I don´t know about plodding, but I believe that you can´t compete on the same level, agains´t guys like federer and nadal, without moving well.
