profile is a straight on view, weather from the side or the front, opposed to a 3/4 view

always draw with pencil first so you can correct your mistakes...

i'm sure he drew it first with pencil and then darken it with black color pencil to make it stand out more...^^

I've had the same problems, especially with the hands. Sometimes I'll make the hands hidden by something or going off the page on purpose simply because drawing them is such a hassle.

try drawing an egg thats got the narrow point down but a little more boxy and squareish good luck x)

You could also use the yielding sign shape then round out the edges. Works for me, and it may work for you if you have troudle making the egg shape.

^~^... when i draw faces at a profile, i always end up either messing up the shape of the nose (so it looks like a beak or somthing...), getting the eyes to close to the nose, or to far away. then i have trouble with the SHAPE of the eyes. lol. it gets really iritating somtimes, but once you get it right it was really worth it ^.~!

The thing I've noticed is that with the round face on the frontal and three quarters view, with the profile and the extra-big chin...I get the impression that she could have a sharp enough chin to cut vegetables...yet somehow it never casts a shadow. I found profiles very challenging, but I somehow managed to nail it pretty solidly on my first attempt.
